Orcface Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Just some various items I've collected over the years from Mystery Science Theater 3000. edit: it wouldn't let me post all my photos here so I linked several at the bottom. MST3K Figurines - Crow, Gypsy, Tom Servo These came with special boxset releases to mark different occasions. Unfortunately they sold out rather quickly and I ended up having to pay a lot to get a hold of some of these. Autographed Hobgoblins Soundtrack Hobgoblins is one of the more "infamous" MST3K episodes. It was a movie directed by Rick Sloane. During Comic Con one year he had a booth open selling these then sold the left overs online. I was able to get a few of these for me and some other MSTIES. Mary Jo Pehl Autograph I was fortunate enough to exchange letters and email with Mary Jo Pehl and her husband. I shamelessly asked if they could hook me up with an autograph or knew of any upcoming events nearby or online dealers I could get one at. They were kind enough to ship this to me. Mary Jo Pehl was a stand up comedian who worked for years as a writer on MST3K before becoming an on-screen presence in the later years as Dr. Forrester's Mother. Cinematic Titanic Autographed Cast Photo Cinematic Titanic is a new venture for the former cast of MST3K where they "riff" on movies in front of a live audience. It's absolutely hilarious and some episodes are available on Hulu if you'd like to check it out. I'd HIGHLY suggest Santa Claus Conquers The Martians. There is a line in this movie by Mary Jo I will not spoil here but is absolutely amazing and makes me giggle myself stupid even thinking about it still. You'll know it the moment you hear it if you watch it. MST3K Autographed Boxset - Jim Mallon When SHOUT! started to FINALLY acquire the rights to distribute some of the older MST3K episodes on DVDS they released several special boxset editions to mark specific occasions and themes. From the official Best Brains store only a limited number of them were sold Autographed by Jim Mallon who was a writer, puppeteer and voice of Gypsy. This set also came with the Gypsy figurine pictured above. Screening Tout T-Shirts When the series first moved to Comedy Central the network did a series of screening tours at campuses around the nation. These are several t-shirts (vacuum sealed) that were passed out at the time (early 90's). Various Mini-Posters and Decals The DVD boxsets and several other items I've ordered over the years have came with these mini-posters and window decals. I have a LOT more than photoed here but no idea which box they are in. I put them in some pages my wife gave me from one of her scrap booking folders to keep them in decent shape. Autographed MST3K Colossal Episode Guide This episode guide gave an awesome in-depth look behind the scenes and information regarding the numerous vague references in the show. Quiet a few were autographed on release and I was lucky enough to get one. Unfortunately even though it is autographed it's a well used book. I couldn't resist. Many time have I hit the pause button and degraded it's value mercilessly. Love it. MST3k Magazine Covers I've recently acquired this copy of Starlog with an EPIC MST3K cover. I haven't read it.... Yet... There are a few more magazines featuring some awesome MST3K covers I'd like to collect but haven't found yet. Original MST3K Fan Club Kit MST3K ran their own fan club before the wonderful internet came along and mailed out various items over the years. Everything from answering fan mail, song lyrics, t-shirt offers and set pieces were handed out. Here's a few random photos of some I have. MST3K The Movie Theater Lobby Poster This poster came straight out of a theater in Chicago to my wall. It's definitely my favorite poster - of all time! http://i44.tinypic.com/fjotaw.jpg MST3K The Movie Trading Cards These trading cards were on sale in the lobby before the movie showed. http://i42.tinypic.com/1603qrl.jpg 2 Quote

Orcface Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 Love MST, Riff Trax just did Starship Troopers at my local theater and are planning on doing the original Night of the Living Dead in October, I can't wait OMG YES! I'm waiting for RiffTrax or Cinematic Titanic to do "A Christmas Story" some day. It'll prolly be a RiffTrax at first, if ever a CT, because of the money needed to license. I would have a meltdown. I understand they did or are doing The Christmas Story 2? Ugh. Don't want to go anywhere near that! RiffTrax might give it a golden treatment but still, A Christmas Story 2 should have NEVER been made. 1 Quote
