Orcface Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Looks like we're finally going to get an extended edition of The Hobbit, much like the LOTR movies before it. I saw it was available for pre-order on Amazon for $30-40 bucks coming out November 5th. Just thought I'd drop a note for you LOTR/Hobbit fans on here. I'll def. be getting it day one. Quote
Timminator Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Thanks for the info mate! Actually Peter jackson said there won't be an extended edition...However I'm happy there is one coming out Quote
Orcface Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 Yeah - I was worried we wouldn't get one after a few comments like that but when they decided to do the third movie and still had footage left over i was praying it'd come Quote
Orcface Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 So I was looking at the Amazon page for it and noticed the run time was the same as the regular dvd. It may just be an error on their part of they may not just have that information yet. I did however find several articles detailing what the extra content would be and it appears it will be 13 extra minutes of footage as far as the movie is concerned and over 9 hours of bonus footage. I was hoping there would be more than 13 minutes - i was thinking more around 20-40 extra minutes as in the first LOTR movies. Oh well, sure it'll still be worth it. They're not charging anything outrageous for it. Quote
