Crash. How?

In this ss, you see the sand bags stacked on the roof. They are right above the barrel of my weap. next to those sandbags is a blue A/C unit. It is on the same roof as the sandbags. Above that blue A/C unit, is the roof of the next building with another blue A/C unit on it. So, it's the highest A/C unit in the SS. I saw Hugs and Kisses on that roof, next to that A/C unit.

I think that that looks like the spot that is behind the blown out building with the outdoor stairway? if it is, you get there by going out onto the corrugated roof and doing a run jump off the end while angling toward the wall. if you hit it right, you'll be able to climb up and into that back area...

xfire lulu for a tutorial....

i still can't do it with any regularity.

The crash is a spot looks like it's the balcony of the building that serves as the starting spawn point for the Marines...just go inside and up the stairs....is all...at least I think that is what you have a shot of.

Deadauntbob, in the crash ss, you described where i am standing. That's me in the ss. I'm pointing my weapon, trying to, at the spot where i saw the player. He was beside the highest A/C unit you see in the SS. Which means he was on the roof of the building that has 2 rooms on the ground floor. 1 room has the glass display case. The 2nd room, right next to it, has the stairs that lead up to the 2nd floor and balcony. The balcony is also accessible by a ladder on the side of the building. This player was on the roof above the 2nd floor.

First, climb the ladder to the top of the building with sandbags on it. From the building with the sandbags on it you can jump to a light post (it's out front -- you'll have to jump from atop the sandbags). From the lightpost, you can jump to the AC duct work on the next building. Then it's just a climb up from there.

oh....! okay...yeah, what a.pirate said...i have seen that done once; again, lulu can provide a tutorial. there is some trick to the jump, you have to be on a railing or something to hit the landing spot right.

Ambush: Ambush.dm_1.zip

Two ways I know of to get up there. One is long, difficult and involves jumping from roof to roof. The easy way involves the dumpster as you'll see in the demo. Just make sure you're looking at the left side of the window when you jump.

Pirate's way works, but I prefer the one here because I always miss the ducting. Just make sure to jump off of the bit of the ladder that is poking up onto the rooftop and aim for the AC box. Then jump to the little brown thing to your right (sometimes you can just go right up on the roof from the AC).

Ambush: You can also get up there via jumping on the wall from where the tunnel is. I for some reason find this really hard at times, and other times it is super easy. I think you have to know exactly where on the wall to aim for. I'll try to grab a screenshot next time I'm on the map.

Fyi - there is another way too, but it's REALLY difficult (I have done it a few times)... If you go up the stairs of the building that has the tin roof overhang (you have to jump through the window to get on the tin roof). If you RUN and jump and then turn left, there is a hole in the wall that allows you to get up into those places. It's not a glitch - anyone can do it, it's just hard to get the timing down. (note: the tin roof ENDS sooner than you think where the edge is visible .. so you actually have to jump a split second BEFORE you get to the edge).

Lulu's tip via the dumpster... I've heard that it's easier if you have a pistol armed - not sure why that makes a difference.

Crash: I've also seen people jump from the small roof with the sandbags onto an AC unit on the wall, then climb up onto the higher roof from there. I've never been able to do it, as I can't get the timing down. I think it involves using the run/strafe/jump "trick".

Thanks Lulu for the demos... off to look at them now :)

Wow - I actually got this on the 2nd attempt. (failed the jump at the end though, but you get the idea.)

(again, I think it helps if you have a pistol armed).

Ambush: Here's the second version via the wall. Again, surprised I got this on the first try.
