XashTheStampede Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 You're crazy man. It's crazy because he plays notes no one dares to play and the fact he's unique in his own style of playing. If you actually played guitar you'd know how freaky this guy is just by attempting to play what he does. I think it sounds awesome. It's quite unique and different from all the same old' bullshit out there. Here's his band Freak Kitchen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxnYwOWkPyw 1 Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 ah i like the name freak kitchen that explains the topic title xD That song i like more , i held my breathe at 3.15 for the soul-entering solo but no false notes in this song +1 thx bro Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 You're crazy man. If you actually played guitar yes im crazy cool huh i used to but then i smashed it (acoustic one) on my head lol now its a piece of art hanging on my wall also 2 times i was standing in front of a concert of my mates and the guitarplayer jumped into the public ... ofcourse bang with his guitar on my head ---> went KO lol skully Quote
XashTheStampede Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 BTW whats the problem with false notes? Randy Rhoads did tons of them. It's like turning a empty space of time into a rhythmic drum scratch. I do it a lot myself. XD Especially before a big bend I like to Rake a few false notes and then nail the bend with lots of vibrato, it adds a characteristic sound to what you're playing. <3 Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 yea combined with a couple right ones on the right time , that first solo was even worse then the sound my guitar made when i smashed it on my head xd Quote
XashTheStampede Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 I guess some people don't have the ear for certain things. He hit all his notes perfectly. Maybe your brain isn't digging his odd times or the scale he's playing in general? Most of the higher pitched notes are Joint Harmonics where he taps it with his left hand and controls it's output with the whammy bar, it's a really cool technique and he's probably one of the best at it. I know Dimebag Darrel does a few in some of his songs but no where near the degree this guy does them. Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) oh yeah ? well first listen to this $olo then to freaky kitchens one RIP dimebag ! big up Edited April 25, 2013 by $kullcollector Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) here's a solo from my mate who saved my life 12 years back :-) \m/ now just a test : at what time there's a false note hihi cos there is one lol according to the guitarist himself Edited April 25, 2013 by $kullcollector Quote
XashTheStampede Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Yeah, Dimebag is the man but that's besides the point to pick a certain solo and use it against one video. XD I can find you some crazy shit by Mattias Eklundh but this isn't the battle of guitarist they are all great musicians and I enjoy both immensely. Check this band out, I tend to dig more instrumental bands cause most bands have terrible vocalist and it kinda ruins it for me. This band will wet your already soaked panies from the intro. Keep in mind this band plays every note on the guitar so there isn't really a scale recognized cause it's just all over the place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEgN5Y5mS9s 1 Quote
SkuLLc0LLector Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 only listened to it for 15 seconds and yes this rocks lol \m/ Quote
XashTheStampede Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 I hope you kept listening to the whole thing! It will make your brain feel like you're about to go into a deep LSD psychedelic trip but through your ears. 1 Quote
