Malokyte Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 The best melee class incorporates a killstreak into your required setup. Primary Weapon - whatever weapon will get you 4 kill streak the fastest. Snipers are good, gets you the ghillie suit for the rural-ish maps so you can ambush. Secondary - tactical knife pistol. You are a melee class, so this is the backup melee weapon if you can't get the 4 kill streak that easily. Killstreak - You have to have care package as one of them. Perks - Marathon, Lightweight, and Commando/Ninja Pro Strategy - Get your 4 killstreak. Take out the smoke grenade that will signal the care package drop but DO NOT THROW IT. Instead, try running with it. Now switch to your pistol and try running with that. You should clearly see the increase in speed by running with the care package. Also a plus, when you knife with the care package, you have an invis knife so it looks like you punch them :3 Also it's an amazing class for CTF. If you need any proof, ask Fred or Timboslice. They know how good it is. Quote

I just make sure I have stopping power if I'm on regular. I like red dot to aim. And stun before you go into a room if you think there is a dude in there. Oh, and graphics way down so the game doesn't lag like a big mama. Quote

What are the best shotguns and their classes in MW2 ? is model 1887 with akimbo deadly ??? thoughts/ opinion ? i m looking forward to this game ..... may be around x-mas if i get good marks at the university. cheers ! Here's the general range with all shotguns. Short: Ranger, Striker Medium: M1404 (the auto shotty from 4), Long: Spas Freakishly Long: Model 1887 Damage. (should mention low doesn't mean it won't one hit kill, just unlikely) Low: Striker, M1404 High: Spas, Ranger, Model 1887 Firing/reload style. Auto: Striker, M1404 Double Barrel: Ranger Pump: Spas Weird flippy motion: Model 1887 Special Attachments. Akimbo: Ranger, Model 1887 Silencer: Striker, M1404, Spas That's shotguns in a nutshell for technical aspects. Opinion-wise, the Model 1887s are good, akimboed even better. But while you're essentially pump loading the next round, you can't knife, or run (need to verify this). The range makes up for this quite well though. In general, every shotgun is good for their own situations. Spas is a good flank shotgun, like the Model 1887. Striker and M1404 are more defensive, as their range isn't that good but the autos make them deadly up close. And the Rangers are an excellent hit and run weapon. And shotguns don't need stopping power to one hit kill, even at a distance (with some of them). Most common class I'll see with a shotgun is Marathon, Lightweight, and Steady Aim. Usually equipment is a tactical insertion, get behind enemy lines and keep coming from behind without having to run the whole distance. Also shotguns are secondary now, so you could throw an smg or something in there for a primary weapon. Quote

I was reading about this and it makes perfect sense and totally agree with u on the perks and other technical stuff.. Cant wait to shoot a spas and Model 1887 .......... this will be my fav. guns i think i can just predict !!!!!! One more QUESTION :- How is the shotgun attachment on assault rifles ?? Damage, range , worth it etc ?? Quote
Higgeo Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 The 1887's are crazy. akimbo on them makes them a one shot kill. A bit cheap in my opinion but hey. easy kills maybe they should have left shotguns primary? or in both? Quote

I will warn you though that you die amazingly fast if you rush head on, so you better play to flank at all moments with them. Quote
