deathfromabo Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) ALright guys i have no idea why but for some reason when ever i try to accept an invite from someone in COD6, no matter if i am in game or not, i will get an error message saying "unable to connect to host". Could some one recommend a way to fix this as it is really bumming me out that i have to play alone. Edited November 22, 2009 by deathfromabo Quote
Kinan Eldari Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Sorry, dude. No clue. And while this may be pointing out the obvious, have you tried any FAQ's? Quote
kdoto Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 yeah same thing happens to alot of us. the best thing for you to do is restart steam. thats what i do whenever that happens. or instead of trying to connect to the host of the party, try to connect to someone else that is in the party. that usually works as well. deathfromabo Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 KO i have tried connecting with other party members same thing. Also how do i restart steam, do i just exit it? Quote
fred Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 its probably because ur nat is strict. there are 2 things that could be the problem. 1. you have to port forward tcp/udp port 28960 to your comp 2. you have to allow 28960 on ur comps firewall. i suggest using windows firewall because it was very easy to configure this. pm me if u need help. ps. sorry for not responding for u yesterday. i was stuck hosting and whenever i shift-tabbed to talk to you it would make everyone lag.
