I had a photo one similar experience. Driving down the highway following a Honda Civic. Ahead of the Civic was a truck hauling a wagon of liquid-like manure. The truck made a quick left turn. The material went over the side of the wagon and covered both lanes of the highway. The Civic was so close, the brake lights didn't even go on. The Civic went right through the pile. There was a splash on both sides of the vehicle. Similar to a bike driving through a puddle. (Not as fun though.) I freaked out slammed on the brakes and aimed for the tire path the Civic made. The underside of my van was coated in a foul mess. I couldn't stop and get out of the van without gagging. It went through 2 car washes and no help. Finally on the way back home I drove through 2 hours of rain. That cleared the undercarriage and made thing right again. I could not imagine the stench the Civic would have. It took it in the rad and through the engine compartment. :)
