steam in-game overlay: battlefield 3

Well some people told me back in beta it was possible to get the steam overlay in battlefield 3, but till now I never tried to do it.

 

It's pretty easy to do, but personally I don't like it :you have to open steam so there will be another programme running besides origin, browser and bf3

 

 

1/ Make sure origin is closed

 

 

2/ Add origin to steam

 

 

 

3/ Launch origin trough steam (!important otherwise it won't work)

 

4/ Disable origin overlay (not sure if it's necessary and can't really test it because the origin overlay causes bf3 to crash here)

-settings => in-game => enable in-game overlay.

 

 

 

5/ Launch battlefield 3 from battlelog and normally the overlay will work.
