Volusion - help e commerce experience ?

has anyone had any experience with volusion.com or any other e-commerce sites? their pricing starts at $19 a month as opposed to setting up one from scratch and paying around $5 a month with hostgator but I would still need some kinda template for shopping, payment and checkout. i want to set up an e commerce site. thanks peeps...
