I mean for security reasons....If you think of what happened to the Challenger. In the worst case a shockwave or debris can travel very far, e.g. after an explosion. But God forbid! I am happy that the last flight went smoothly and they finally put those things to mothballs. Edit: I looked at it again...On the other hand was it really that close.
