Looking for EqualOne WeaponTable v1.00 (Jaymod qagame editor)

 

Looking for a copy of WeaponTable v1.00 by EqualOne / RedSector.

It was a small tool that edited hardcoded weapon values inside Jaymod’s qagame (fireDelayTime, nextShotTime, reload, heat, ammo, etc.). Page still exists but the download is dead:

Supported Jaymod 2.1.7 / 2.1.8 (Windows/Linux). Even an old copy helps — I’m on Enhanced 1.0.9e and trying to recover how those table edits worked.

First off you have been going all over the ET communities asking everyone how to edit jaymod binaries.  I saw your posts on the legacy forum a month ago in their lua discord. And they actually told you how to do it, they pointed you to the jaymod source code.

 

You are trying to recreate the fast weapons used on the Funboy servers and the LoA servers (which split off from Funboy ten years ago).  You slam both of these communities, publicly, and then you tell other players on our servers that it would be easy to just make your own server like my servers (Funboy) or Butterfly's server (LoA). 

 

I have read your in-game comments to other players on my servers and I ignored you. Basically my servers suck (you don't like the maps, and you don't like that the K43 rifle is not fast enough) and you are going to make your own copy and everyone is welcome to play on your cheap copy.

 

So obituary is awful because he doesn't respond to you, and edit his servers to make you happy.

 

And Butterfly is awful, because her admins are mean to you.  You complain that the LoA admins are bullies to you. They probably can't stand you, for their own reasons, but you can't figure that out.

 

You may want to think about why nobody who actually knows jaymod at a deep level wants to help you.

Also Jaybird (the guy who made Jaymod) was really pissed off at EqualOne (the guy who made the files you are asking for)  and wrote about how he wished he could take legal action against him for reverse engineering his jaymod qagame file.

 

EqualOne was the guy who made the extremely popular "enhanced mod" which is still running on many jaymod servers.

 

This was back in jaymod-2.1.7 days, before 2011 when jaymod-2.2.0 came out.   There is also a jaymod-2.2.0 version, which is extremely rare (I had EqualOne make it for Funboy when jaymod-2.2.0 was released).

As far as I know, the 2.2.0 weapontable.exe was never publicly released.  So at best you may find the 2.1.7 version, maybe.

 

EqualOne took the weapontable.exe files offline about 15 years ago. I have never seen them online since.

 

I have my own copies, and once every couple years I make a minor edit, like slowing down an overused weapons, like the K43 or the M97.

 

Maybe I should just speed the K43 and M97 back up, on FUNBOY (BEGINNER), and then you don't have to make your own server?

 

Not sure why you want to all this work anyway considering there are maybe 100 people left who play this ancient game.

I love, love, LOVE your server!!! I would never intentionally bash on it. I think you are awesome! I think your server made the game way more fun.  I just wanted my own server to play against just bots when "bullies" are on the servers I love to play. Not that any admins are bullies. I don't for sure know who is an admin on any server. I only know you and Butterfly and you guys have always been nothing but nice and super welcoming. By "bullies" I meant some players and the way they choose to interact, it sometimes seems to me as purposefully antagonistic. But I also appreciate the freedoms you allow on your server and who am I to tell anybody different, although sometimes I still do and then I am mad at myself because I realize they are just playing THEIR game. Anyways Obit, I am sorry and will always, only say good things about FunBoy.  And I will try to be less salty in-game , it's truly a fault of mine. So I publicly apologize to players I have said stupid things to, I realize I can be too competitive. I am ashamed.

P.S. Thank you for all the info on the history of you guy's servers and that Enhance was a bad thing not something to seek out.  
P.S.S. I know nothing about servers or really video game etiquette at all, this is the only game I ever played and I am pretty new at it still. So I doubly appreciate you for taking the time to respond to me and I will be sure to be a better/nicer player.
