I love Japan. @ELSO I'd say yes, most of the people we ran into could speak general / passable English. I think that they were typically too shy (or ashamed?) to try at times though. Good news is that Google maps works really well and it makes the subway much easier to navigate. Edited March 27 by knw Quote

People are just so kind and everything is just so safe! I went to Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto and Nari. Have fun over there! It looks like you went to some great places, Osaka is certainly on my list for next time. We are home now, it’s been nice not having work for a few weeks! 1 Quote

There some English speaking Japanese, but I would say most had some very limited English skills. Google translator and hand signals were our friend. 😂 Quote

Two totally different beasts, but the r32 is where Godzilla started after all ! 1 Quote

Shoresy Posted Friday at 09:14 PM Posted Friday at 09:14 PM Oh this looks incredible! My sister just got back from Japan, was there for a year. Will be returning later this year to reside there permanently as an English teacher. She had nothing but amazing things to say about Japan in general. Ofc her goofball self didn't get really any pictures except for the back of a seat in a taxi, a Pokemon stand, and some flower xD But Japan has always been a place I'd love to visit! Very beautiful views you had there. I am in love with mountain views 😄 Curious, are you legit not allowed to use public onsens because of tattoos or was that just a respect thing? I too, am covered in tattoos and some would even consider a few of my tattoos to be a bit.. Idk, offensive? 😎 I am very jealous though! Sure the kiddos loved it haha they will remember that for their whole life I bet! Quote

In most 'Onsen' spa's you are even not welcome if you have any tattoos. But in Tokyo and bigger cities the people are more 'generalized' and used to see tourists. But when we were in Osaka in the smaller neighborhoods people were really staring at us especially my friend with tattoos 😛 Quote
