RockstarBe Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 FIST is a 2D-Platformer Metroidvania video game released originally on September 7, 2021 and October 3(Steam) Story: You are a rabbit/bunny call it however you want named Rayton, trying to save his friend from an oppressive force called "Legion" that has invaded Torch City. Gameplay: The game has a pretty interesting gameplay with an upgrade architecture for your powers, the control is classic through A,D and SPACE to move up, back and forth and for combat J, K, L and W in many combinations to defeat enemies. As you progress through the game, you will discover new upgrades as well as Master Wu who will teach you different moves. You also have life potions called Carrots (what else would it be called if you are a rabbit lol). Outside of that, the usual metroidvania stuff is there, exploration, opening up new areas, backtracking, finding secrets/upgrades. (Master Wu is one of the cutest raccoons I've ever seen) Combat: The combat is pleasant with many combinations such as: Power Punch, Uppercut, Whirlpool and many others. It's a little annoying at times because you can't access certain perks until you're in the upgrade machine. Once you advance in the game you have different boss fights getting harder and harder but they are not hard to beat because of a super-giga-ultra AI developed to make unpredictable moves, and if you die once or twice you start to catch his...drill(haha, got it?). Don't have Dark Souls or Hollow Knight expectations. Instead, the classic enemies are quite different in the form of robotic dogs that have weapons, swords, drones that shoot at you and another robotic ball with some grinder (If my eyes don't cheat on me). What bothered me a lot instead is that sometimes the controls do not respond well to combinations, but this rarely happens because anyway the game has not been released for a long time. I am convinced that they will solve this problem. 2 Conclusion: Overall, the game is worth trying, especially if you are a fan of metroidvania, platformer or action games. Quote
