LOL! You need to go back to the mid 80s and do some research. There is some really good stuff from that period which still htis today. Quote
SickOne Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 But the so called Techno in the late 70s and 80s were different styles and genres just collected under the word techno , much of it was pretty much a genre for itself , like Avantgarde , EBM ,House, Industrial , Newwave or just electronic popmusic . From what i understand , the pure techno , a 4/4 track with every 2nd on Bigdrum or hihat , evolved in the late 80s and beginning of 90s . I know bout all the bands before , but like i said , their genres where never techno itself Quote
PHANTASM Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I have a vast techno collection. I was into it in the 1990s - early 2000s. Lots of fun lol. Many late nights with friends... I prefer the breakbeat subgenre myself (DJ Icey, DJ Baby Ann, The Crystal Method, DJ Shadow, Electric Universe, Astral Projection, etc etc). Also like deep trance too (Paul Oakenfold) Quote
