cant enter FA server + lost xp points

it all worked fine since yesterday, but since yesterday i cant enter into FA servers and today i lost my xp-points !!!! i cant even edit weapons and perks

when i enter cod4 trough x-fire it says: 'waiting for connection' and wait for code-auto authorisation' (or somthing like that; i just translated it word by word)

then it counts to 10 and then it says: 'server timelimit reached'

i cant perfectly enter in other servers

yesterday x-fire didnt even give me information about server (map, ping, players)

 

i tried also to connect to server by entering in console 'connect IP'

 

i tried also to deactivate my anti-virus

 

what should i do?

I think I see what is happening. If you have UAC enabled Windows is likely saving it in C:/Users/"user name where COD4 is installed"/Appdata/Local/Virtualst­ore/Activision. Only problem is that appdata is by default a hidden folder. Yay Windows!!!

 

So once in your C:/Users/"user name where COD4 is installed"/ folder add the following to your searchbar appdata. For instance to get into appdata mine is located at C:\Users\Chris\AppData.

 

Once there click Local then VirtualStore then Activision. You should then see players.

 

I have UAC disabled on my PC so mine saves to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare (I do not even have the above folder) sorry for the confusion.

 

Can someone confirm for me that this is where their players folder is? If so I will fix the tutorial.

Confirmed. Found the player folder.

 

*sigh* New problem: After reinstallation, now NO servers are coming up on the server list. Tried refreshing (internet connection is fine). Am I a moron?

It did that to me once as well. I had to reinstall a second time.
