I barely skimmed this so I apologize if I am missing info. What I do know is that you have Windows 7 and it has began crashing after installing an application, several bsod's etc. So the one thing I didn't see anyone say (and I may be wrong) is to try a system restore; granted it was not disabled. A system restore will restore your computer to a date when it was in a working state, this would be the first thing I would try if you are getting bsod's. If you aren't able to run a system restore and get it working then try running virus scans-given that you are able to get into windows long enough to do so, if you can do it from safe mode then do that. Spybot search and destroy and malwarebytes are good free ones. If all this fails then try and run a windows repair. You have to have the windows install disc, boot to it and follow the on screen instructions to repair your windows installation. Lastly, if all that fails; wipe and reinstall :)
