I think it could be nice to see the final objective timed differently if it is a General. Specifically i would like either a delay spawn for the general, and/or a larger amount of smaller AI spawns prior in order to feel more like the Gen is desperate or something. Imagine on dunkirk (ideally without a spawnkilling) from the plane you have squad after squad of britts running out so a lone wolf can't just storm the boat as easy

PVP is another idea, also valid as custom

There isn't talk of starting this officially i just want to get as much time as possible before what i hope is the inevitable comes.


Setting changes:



Longer objective caps.


Pros: Increased challenge.

         More realistic cap system. If enemies are not on point for 90 seconds then they could easily lose it. They are aggressive and rarely camp without moving in some way.



Cons: Too many bot respawns. Solution> to compensate we could cap bots if there are a specific amount alive so they don't constantly respawn.



Cater weapons to accurate assignments


no more bots spawning with stg 44s on crete in 1942.

no more fg/mg 42 on Dunkirk.


pros: accuracy

cons: some people wont be able to or want to cope.




Personally I would love to play the same map set but with the allied forces swapped.
















Flakturm? i dont quite know due to tech difficulties lol




I think it would create an incredibly unique experience


We could still incorporate regular campaign missions and obviously custom maps to add some larger variety to our server :wub:

Harder to play against bots?
Server #2 with hard difficulty bots is always empty so we can guess that players are not interested in going for even a higher difficulty.

its not that its too difficult its that you need teamwork. its hard to get randoms to cooperate once in a while. There are a few things that need to be tweaked at some point soon to make it more playable.

Personally i would rarely if ever play pvp. i prefer bots for teamwork and comradery

playing on the server today, there was 11 non members talking. gameplay was mixed, a few people gunned down quick and the rest adapted tactically.


a couple regulars commented something seemed different. The bots were fierce today. So far it seems really positive

I agree with Pabbat on commando, we can edit what we want in the CVAR list to change specific behaviours like how long it takes to pull the trigger etc.


That being said, we need to teach people how to be patient. You cannot run around like we do on normal Coop

I do love entrenchment but a stronghold only is a nice option.


#1 is often plagued by newer players who dont understand gameplay. They dont regroup. I would like to see a minimum rank system implemented for hardcore if at all possible.


Our servers should emphasize teamwork. We dont need players who want to play 3+ minutes alone because they dont want to regroup.



I think recruiting should be commando + our tweaks.

When NWI release an update the server version has to be updated. It took a few hours for it to be updated, so if you decided to prevent the update you could still play on FA, otherwise you'd have to find another server for the meantime

- can we make it so if we win the obj we can continue to kill the last few bots alive?

- Instead of an AI officer, if there's a player officer we should have a second AI radioman. (it would be nice if they would stick to the officer too)

- vote kick AI - some just always seem to TK and wound and i would love to pull a cs:s votekick on their asses


- i would love to see the smokes and smoke barrages be larger and more dense, im not sure if thats possible. create a massive cloud, give us some chaos. it should be debilitating tactically

Oh and as always, Radios cap faster. Assault and Rifleman can both wear them


If you are looking for a couple enemies that went stealth ninja to finish a round, fire into the air with your pistol or something to draw them out. Obviously be conscious of ammo for kill punch

Hey everyone


i was thinking of ways we can help each other with this game, there's always room for improvement or a little tip that can help get that achievement that you wanna go for.






basic tips:


DONT FORGET TO LEAN, this thing can help you keep from getting hit in the lower half, which can be a lot more deadly then it seems.


the Alt button is sneak walk (read as: burger king man). This can prevent an enemy from hearing you. As someone that wears 7.1 headphones, this can mean life or death.


Sprinting is great but you shouldn't turn corners before checking either your map (LETTER N....... or tab) to check for friendlies, or peeking around for enemies. Also, reference to the previous point. The sprint and tab combo equal default steam overlay mix-up


Borderless windowed can help transition between desktop and the game easier. Before doing this i found once in a while the game would not bring the visuals back up but the game was running as normal.


To get a good grip on your enemies' tactics and routes, I would recommend playing as every team, at least 5 games. You will get to see your cover from the enemies' eyes and look for spots that are actually awful for providing cover.


Get a german grenade skin mod, this thing makes your life a whole lot easier. It will give a visual colour reference to determine if its a smoke or frag. 


For tracking a flamer, you can get a scorch mod so it gives clear burn tracks. Once in a while you gotta hunt a bear.


Practice mode can help you learn the Leader role pretty well. Helps the transition







If you are going for Headshot achievements, i would recommend using a sniper role when available. Even if you don't use a scope, the role gives you the advantage of holding your breath longer.


For the Bayonet or Melee achievements i would suggest Dunkirk for Allies or Breville as Germans and to try a heavy kit with smoke grenades. You can make a smoke room and move around relatively freely. The assault role gives you faster movement as their upgrade, so this can help you either run to or away from a combat situation. The rifleman class gives you more stamina, so this can also be a good option.
