  1. I don't know how much time you have since your profile is private, but I'm at 50 hours and in no way do I think it feels like CoD just because they have MG mounted vehicles and larger more open map zones. The large maps IMO, make the game feel less linear. There are many more routes you can take and abuse, the bots do it and even succeed. The TTK is most likely intentional for the fact that Insurgency has always lead with as much realism that they can reasonably apply. I've always had at least 2 shots get eaten by a vest because the Mak Mak is literally my child. It's an inside joke between a homie and I. Yet I shoot to get one to the head, that always does the trick because armor doesn't care. Same with their legs (though risky). Also, if i'm not mistaken vests retain damage until you resupply, so if you don't and you got clipped capping before then take a 9mm that could be the shot they needed. In Sandstorm I can see why people running around killing shit is annoying, but that's skill. We both know that. If I knew the direction and amount of enemies coming I'd abuse it too, just like in INS. The difference in Sandstorm is they come from where they please, so running around ain't bad and people that don't watch it die, VERY quickly. My homies that are also INS vets, we always hunkered down on defenses, but now that we know the spawn style map and mechanics we are able to run around and kill more efficiently. I know a flawless M249 spot for point G that if pulled off right (no offensive artillery) I can mow down anyone coming across the street. Don't know if you'll see this, but I'm curious if you've played to date. They've done some extensive work. Last note, I don't know how the $%&^ someone can compare this to a game that has futuristic movement/jetpacks/exosuits/ inhuman perks. (CoD)
  2. Hello Assassins, This is technically me coming back, but with military and living situations I couldn't really stay all too active with gaming and the forum boards. Nor do I really even have the habit of sticking to a site -facepalm- So basically hello again! Huge fan of TF2, Insurgency and Overwatch. I eat and breathe FPS. Add me up if you're looking for a buddy. (PM) Anywho, I played many hours of the FA Insurgency servers and I found myself back to see what FA might have in store for Insurgency: Sandstorm's public release. I got about 50 hours so far into the Beta access and I LOVE IT. If anyone else has it I'd like to know your opinions and if anyone is curious about it you can message me. Besides that, I'm just gonna poke around and get antiquated with what we have here. Cheers, Lo/Tiny Rick
  3. Now this is a fellow alcoholic right here. Jager is actually really good as a sipping drink when room temperature. It's also REALLY good when mixed with half pineapple and half orange juice.
  4. I can do Jack ALL day. Any day. Teas are nice too!
  5. Welcome to this quite amazing and humble abode.
  6. Vodka and Jager I totally support that.
  7. Hey there mah peeps. While I am here sipping on drink #5, I wondered to myself what everyone's preferred drink is. This is just out of my own curiosity. Me? I prefer a Surfer of Acid (Pineapple Juice+Jager+Malibu) or a Adios Motherf**ker. (Gin, Tonic, Vodka, TeQuilla, sweet&Sour). What's your poison when you decide one night, "I'm gonna drink!"

  10. Ahahahahaha, thanks man. Thanks to everyone else for the warm welcome.
  11. Awesome, I think I can dig that. Thanks!
  12. So, it looks like you got the information you needed, but here in a condensed version for you. 1.) Learn the basics before songs. I.E-String names, and basic chord locations. (A,E,C,G,F,D) learn to pick different styles. like (D,D,DUD). 2.) Looking at the strings in totally normal, your brain knows you don't have the muscle memory just yet. Just keep at it. 3.) Acoustic are good to learn on because they require more pressing force than an electric, it's all preference. Though @docwarren is right, electric steer towards power chords way more than acoustic. 4.) In regards to your question, Youtube is always a good place to start, but you need to know what you are searching, or if you are wiling to pay a small subscription. Yousician on Google Play and I believe Apple Store is an amazing app to learn. 5.) Practice Practice practice and you'll be the next Joe Satriani ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo6LXD7uzn4 ) I used to play often but don't as much anymore. Make sure to just play it a couple hours a day. Remember, you can only improve.
  13. Hey guys, Lo here. So, I saw there was quite a bit of attention going towards ET and I took it upon myself to download it. I'm writing this as it downloads. My question is, what kind of game should I expect? Any information in good, thanks in advance.
