  1. I love this game. The other day I spent 10 minutes hiding in a bathroom setting the perfect trap. When the bad guy finally opened the door he didn't come in so I chased him and he shot me in the head. I waver between jumping out straight away and duking it out with frying pans and waiting til halfway across the island and trying to avoid contact for as long as possible. I'd hate to know how much of my life I've spent just running in one direction. My best result so far is 2nd and killing four people. My standard result is making it to top 30 without killing anyone then getting shot in the head by someone much better than me.

  3. So the big secret is basically be ripped as f***. Well that's great for him but what about those of us who have a body that could be best described as 'well lived in'? If I took my top off and walked round the streets of Manchester approaching random women I'm 99% sure my story won't have a happy ending
  4. Few weeks ago went to see Trainspotting 2 at the cinema: Really enjoyed it but not sure how much of that was a bit of a nostalgia trip. If you're British and of a certain age the original Trainspotting was the seminal film of the 90s. I'm just thankful it wasn't a disaster. Begbie is still terrifying Last night I watched Upstream Color: Had a bottle of red wine and this is a film you really have to concentrate on. Did enjoy it though and was pretty smug that I managed to more or less fully understand what the hell was going on (googled afterwards to make sure) Also watched Arrival last weekend: Having also drank a bottle of red wine and I really really enjoyed it, even if at the end it was a bit... wait... what!?
  5. Arsenal will finish second in their group and then get knocked out in the last 16 - it's one of their oldest and most respected traditions!
  6. Mostly looking forward to the Man City vs Barcelona games. I live in Manchester, have been to watch City a few times, my boss at work is a season ticket holder and I watch most of their games on TV. You would think that if any manager knows how to beat Barcelona it would be Guardiola, however city's defence is absolutely tragic and I just don't see how they could possibly handle Neymar-Messi-Suarez. I think they are going to get battered home and away.
  7. I really liked TBBT at first but I haven't watched it in years. They ruined it by giving them all girlfriends. Who the hell wants to watch another sitcom about people in relationships? I want to see loneliness and failure leading to misery and desperation - now you've got a comedy!
  8. I saw him a few weeks ago in Manchester. Nearly 2 hours of his greatest hits set. One of the best gigs ever! I got two turntables and a microphone
  9. I am absolutely rubbish at this game. Had it for a week and stuck on lvl6, out of pokeballs. 3 of my top 5 monsters are Drowzee ffs and the highest cp is 169! I only found out at hour ago you need to spin the pokestop. I've been on a train up and down the country this weekend and was cursing my luck that every pokestop was empty/broken! I feel like everyone is already impossibly far ahead of me

I think it's been a pretty poor tournament overall, not a lot of quality anywhere. FRA vs GER should have been a brilliant match but didn't really do it for me. FRA were dominated the entire first half then luck out on a penalty, GER really need a proper striker because their performance was extremely frustrating. I kind of hope POR win it now. No one will remember this tournament as one of the classics.

That was the worst England performance in my entire life time! The only people to come out of that with any sort of credit is Rashford and to a lesser extent Vardy. Everyone else to a man was absolute garbage. Unable to pass properly, can't control the ball, can't judge a free kick or corner, certainly incapable of shooting. Utterly bereft of any skill, guile, intelligence. A totally brain dead performance. Rooney is supposed to be captain but not only was that his worst ever game for England he failed to give the rest of the players a kick up the arse and encourage them through the game. Awful leader on the pitch. Let's not forget Joe Hart putting in the worst performances of any gk throughout the entire tournament. Roy Hodgson has been an absolute disaster as England manager. Failed to get us out of the group stages at the WC then sees us knocked out by Iceland. We were absolutely desperate for something, anything, to spark our game into life so why does he wait until 86 minutes to bring Rashford on? He did more in 5 minutes than the rest of the team combined. The really bad news is one of the favourites for the job is Gareth Southgate - basically Roy Hodgson but 30 years younger!!
  12. There's the Iron Born ships, the ships taken from the defeated Masters who attacked Mereen, plus ships from the Martels and Tyrells. Dragon Queen now has 3 dragons, about 8,000 of the best infantry in the world plus up to 100,000 of the best light cavalry in the world. Allied with Dorne who have sat out the recent wars so have a fully intact army and the Reach who are the richest and best resourced region and still have a formidable army available. Not sure how long Cersei can realistically hold on to power - what does she have left? The Lannister army is surely no where near enough on it's own. They can't rely on the Freys and the rest of the Riverlands will be out to get them, The North and The Vale are obviously going to be against them. All that's left is the Iron Islands (who always get their arses handed to them on the mainland) and the Storm Lands and I have no idea who is running them now. Be interesting to see how it can carry on for another 2 series, at the moment it looks like Dany is going to sweep to victory extremely quickly, I can't see her going to war with the King in the North they will surely team up to take on the white walker army?
  13. Couple of things about The Knights of the Vale do niggle though. Firstly Sansa keeping it quiet, she could have at least mentioned to Jon she had written to Baelish requesting his help. With The Knights of the Vale on his side pre-fight you could imagine a lot of Bolton supporters switching sides. Admittedly we wouldn't have got an awesome battle out of it just a protracted siege which wouldn't have been as good viewing. My other problem is the way they took Ramsey totally by surprise. How on earth does an entire army ride through the North to Winterfell without being spotted? Even if the other houses decided not to report it to Ramsey, he would surely have his own scouts out in his own land which should have given him at least some notice they were coming.
  14. Great episode. Interesting now that the only real fighting force left in the North are the Knights of the Vale. Baelish is in de facto control of 2 of the 7 kingdoms - is he going to pack up and just leave? He's going to want something!

My friend is in Marseille and says it has been 3 days of Russian and French Ultras coming in and targetting Englabd fans then running off when the police arrive. My friend saw an England fan get his throat/neck slashed who had to be resuscitated by the French police. Says he has witnessed numerous stabbings and bottlings - it is the most dangerous situation he has ever been in and can't wait to get out of there today. He recommends everyone avoids the world cup in Russia!
