Thank DF. Guess it makes sense now that I know. Just thought it was rude. I just left the servers when they get like that. I removed the tags forever. What's the point? Take em off...put em on...take em off...a little manic for me. When they straighten out whatever is causing the XP losses I'll put them on permanently.

Everytime I log on to play with the tags I have everyone yelling to take them off. No reason. No nothing. Just TAKE THEM OFF. I don't get wrapped up in scores like some do, I just like playing the game. I totally get where the OP is coming from though. He's trying to make his bones and every time he gets close the rug gets yanked out from under him. So, what is going on with the servers? Why are we losing XP? Why are people telling me to stop wearing the tags? Am I in the clan or not?

Welcome to the club. Its to the point that if you're allowed to wear tags you're told to take them off. Sad.

w00t! That's what I'm talking about!!!! I remember when back in the day we'd have 5v5...deathmatch...you die...you're out until its over...talk about epic sniper matches! If the time fits...I'd LOVE to get in on this. IF we're gonna be serious and take on other clans...it would really behove us to set up a server and actually practice as a team before we go out there and just wing it. We're talking about FA here.

No, its not the same machine. I wasn't sure if there was any difference in the OS. I understood that I'd have to copy it, just didn't know if anyone else has successfully done this. Thanks for the answers.

Well, the powers that be decided to lock down my work PC that was being used for "free time" exploits. Just wondering if it's possible to take my .cfg to a Linux machine? Anyone?

Don't know if its related...I keep getting booted off the server for wearing tags as well.

Von, we've been requesting maps for a l-o-n-g time. We keep getting referred to Schnee's poll and nothing. We get shown all these wonderful maps that aren't on any of our servers and it feels like a big tease. We were told here to log on to jaymod server because it was tanking in the polls and we did. Most of us came from Beg 2 server to make the numbers go up. We listen and act on what the clan says. We're just looking for the same. We'll take whatever new maps work, but if you go to the threads we'll take anything for change sake. Most of us have been playing for 10+ years and still enjoy the game. If there are new maps out, let's see them in play. I'm not nagging, but I'm raising awareness that there are a lot of players that have asked and there has been no action in Beg 2. I don't know how to say it any other way. Also, and I don't want to mix issues up but there is a massive problem where those of us with tags are getting booted or losing XP. XP doesn't really matter that much but getting booted for wearing tags? That doesn't seem right.

Been begging forever it seems. Hopefully we get newer maps and discard ones that most loathe. It doesn't matter to me about the self-damage. I am against limiting a particular class though. Sometimes you feel like operating a MG and sometimes a flamethrower. It depends on the map and where you're at on a map a 2nd and 3rd are really the only options. Now, SK I am TOTALLY not in agreement with. I think it should be forbidden. My reason is easy to grasp too. You already died and it puts you in a location where you can just die again because someone wants to camp there? You should be allowed to at least rejoin the game. That's me though, anyone that's played with me knows I don't camp at a spawn point. As for Bots, if the server is crowded with real players they should be eliminated. Use them as a balancing force.
