    It's possible, The biggest issue with Hydro is losing the flag and spending the entire map stuck, not able to get it back or keep it because all the spawn exits are so well-guarded, which is how rushing is possible. If you can't get out of spawn, then say goodbye to the gold. It would be a great frag/objective map if the flags couldn't be lost once you captured them

    Exactly what I was talking about with @Kojootti. Great map but works better on servers that don't have double-jump

    I agree. I'm a big fan of Radar, but for some reason, it just never has been popular on pub servers. It's a better map for Silent mod, or no double-jump mods. Too many times a Covie gets an engie to the forward CP and either rushes the gold or just gets a CP built before the gate is blown

  5. Rosh, you're only focused on knives, some of us on the overall game and yeah, I feel you on ETPro mods. For 5 years that was all I played and when I came to JM and FA when ETPro pubs really died off, not the servers as much as the quality of the gameplay, it was - and still is hard to fully adjust. That's why you'll many of the times when I look for changes, they're more in line with how ETPro was set up. Makes me sad to see the list of ETPro servers on TB and they're all empty https://et.trackbase.net/serverlist/order/players/desc/

    No need on Venice when the boat is stolen. Typically, almost everytime they steal the boat, they won the map
  7. Medics who self-heal, live to heal others and keep the battles going. And MOST medics, do heal others when they see them. No one said taken away. Enable Sk on knives, lower the number or R_nades. That's not taken away. Easy, Silent is not at all like Jay 1, just with a few settings people are looking for, it's completely different, and ETL is dead 90% of the day. I don't if it's a small few or not. It probably seems that away because only a very few come to the forums, ever, TBH. I see a lot of people complain about things like the too many rifle Grenades and I'll be honest. My biggest issue is that, it's funny how much crap I take by some people, but never, ever will I use anything but default MG, regular grenades and, on 2 maps, play sniper for part of them. I won't use R_nades, mortar, arty, etc, ever. Even for Panzer Wars, I'll just quit most of the time and come back after. Some of us play to win 1 vs 1 (or lose) the hard way rather than stand back and get easy kills with little chance of having to defend themselves. Maybe that's part of why I ache to see the changes I've mentioned. The real point of small changes is to subtly take away from getting bored. Why do people always want rotation changes? Because they get bored, mostly. Partly because a map just doesn't work. How much better would it be on a full server if you can get something going without spawn, die, spawn - repeat - because of campers with knives, r_nades, arty spamming outside of spawn, non-stop mortars on spawn points....? (Again, myself, I've made my peace with knives).
  8. And they'll tell you to post on the forum... lol Truth is, there are 3 ways to make this game better, using @RASHOMON's idea of self-kill enabled. One R_nade per team and lower slots on Jay 1 to populate other servers. Here are the problems. I hated knives but now, though I use them very rarely, I like that I can empty a magazine and grab a knife quickly to throw it. The R_nade junkies who have NO SKILL with MG will cry - even though most of them don't even know they have pliers and how they should be used. Redirecting people to other servers will only make them quit the game until a time when they can just get on Jay 1 because less people are playing - which would be fine with me anyway. I think the truth is people who run this are afraid of radical changes
  9. I promise you, this has been suggested over and over. I tried it years ago and others since. I would beg to differ that r_nades take far less skill than knives. I would guess at least 40% of deaths I suffer on Jay 1 come from R_nades. Almost none from knives, which do have a remedy - medics who pay attention
  10. You'll never get rid of knives. That has been debated many times over the years. A better quest would be to limit R_nade's to 1 or 2 per team
