Has anyone upgraded to Windows 10 and seen any kind of changes in the performance of ET? What are your graphics set-ups if not?

Yes, I mean Jay1. When I click "No" to the redirect question, it kicks me back out to the ET launch screen, rather than waiting to connect to Jay1. It would be great if it worked in the way that you describe...

I understand what the intention was with implementing this new server redirect service, but what if a player WANTS to wait for a slot to open up on Jay1? I would rather just wait for a slot on Jay1 the old way, than have to click over and over again that, No, I don't want to redirect to Jay2...

I apologize if this has already been answered; I searched the forum but didn't find what I was looking for. Can anyone share the command to turn smoke/poison gas on and off so that I don't see it? I tried entering 'cg_wolfpackets' into the console, but it didn't do anything.

Help! What does this error mean? --> Game Code (cgame_mp_x86.dll) failed pure server check <---------- ????????????????? I can't connect to the servers at all. Sad face

I had to do a clean install of my OS today, and I'm trying to get ET running again. The first problem I'm having is that when I start the client, the server list won't populate. At all. I already went to etkey.org and downloaded that file into my etmain folder, and I enabled PB, so what else am I missing?

@DFighter > I had recently changed my name and then was messing with colors too... @mAdArA* > I tried that, followed the instructions in the guide on how to get a new ETKey/GUID, and I can connect for about a minute before the game freezes and either crashes or kicks me back to the main screen with no explanation. I am apparently banned for ~18 days on F|A Recruiting where I normally play; it says for "respect or gtfo"(?). But why does it say I'm banned from the Jay2 server as well that I hardly ever play on? And even despite those 2 apparent bans, I'm able to play on all the other F|A servers? Although it does freeze/crash like I said, so I'm not really "playing" anything.... This is a weird problem that just arose out of nowhere. One minute I was playing, the next I can't even maintain a connection...??? I checked all of my hardware and my network setup, restarted modems and routers etc. but there hasn't been any change. Anyone else have any ideas?

Out of nowhere today I was kicked from the Recruiting server (haven't had a problem in quite awhile), and when I tried to reconnect it said "Invalid GUID..." something or other.... I ended up uninstalling both ET and PB, downloading a new ETkey from ETkey.org, and trying to reinstall, but it still gives me this error about an invalid GUID. In fact, the most recent attempt at installing ET failed completely; it wouldn't even start up! What do I need to do in order to get back on F|A servers in ET? Or any servers for that matter... I know its an outdated game, but I like it, and I assume most of you do as well Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is there anything we can do about Jay2's recent lag issues? I was planning on spending my Christmas break playing a lot of W:ET, but for the last few days lag has increasingly gotten worse, and today it was almost unplayable. It'd hang every minute or so! Others were complaining about it too so I know it wasn't just me...

I never, ever get lag on any of the F|A servers; this is one of the reasons I like them so much. But today for some reason, I was getting lag spiked on both Jay2 and Hardcore for no apparent reason. When I asked if others were having the same problem, some said yes, some no as usual. I went through my whole system, checked all my settings, restarted my modem and router, restarted my computer, ran spybot and virus scans etc., and saw no improvement. I just wondered if there was a technical issue today? Or if I just somehow developed a problem over the last 24-48hrs...

I've been playing a lot the last few days and haven't had a single issue until about 2 hrs ago when the server just got all F'ed up and I started having connection interrupted screens and lag, dying for no reason etc. Whats the story? I didn't change anything on my side, is there maybe something I should be doing to fix this?
