  1. MP44 was the worst for assault rifles. Uzi was the worst for smgs. Because their recoil sucks so much. I had the choice of moving slowly and angling for headshots or running into the thick of things and spraying and praying. I chose the running and spraying tactic. I got b/w 2-5 headshots per game. I am a below average player. Takes patience. The HS will come. Now I'm all done -minus the shotty and sniper, i don't care for those. and I find it difficult to use those two gold weaps. Uzi is better than Ak47 in my opinion. AK47 has a slow rate of fire. If I don't hit the target first in a face to face showdown, i die.
  2. Now this is how you make a trailer.
  3. Deadauntbob, in the crash ss, you described where i am standing. That's me in the ss. I'm pointing my weapon, trying to, at the spot where i saw the player. He was beside the highest A/C unit you see in the SS. Which means he was on the roof of the building that has 2 rooms on the ground floor. 1 room has the glass display case. The 2nd room, right next to it, has the stairs that lead up to the 2nd floor and balcony. The balcony is also accessible by a ladder on the side of the building. This player was on the roof above the 2nd floor.
  4. Ambush. How? Crash. How? In this ss, you see the sand bags stacked on the roof. They are right above the barrel of my weap. next to those sandbags is a blue A/C unit. It is on the same roof as the sandbags. Above that blue A/C unit, is the roof of the next building with another blue A/C unit on it. So, it's the highest A/C unit in the SS. I saw Hugs and Kisses on that roof, next to that A/C unit.
  5. District is exactly what I was thinking of. Strike also. Pipeline is pretty good for it too. Although I hate pipeline. And it comes up in the rotation twice. groan.
  6. Except for cases where both teams are holding/maintaining their territory, for example, when teams each own half the map and no ground is given up or taken (much) throughout the game- then what I notice is that we have a game of chase the other team's tail. It doesn't have anything to do with team strength or talent. Team A will successfully push into Team B's territory. B will retreat into other areas of the map. This results in a circular line of pushing and retreating as teams move into adjacent corners of the map. For the most part, both teams are moving in the same direction: clockwise or counter clockwise. Team A pushes B into the next corner, B moves there to retreat and also to chase A's tail out of the other corner it once occupied. So we have circular swirl, of sorts. (Seinfeld would smile at this). I believe that a successful team (indicated by winning the game) will know when to stop pushing in one direction, and switch directions. Switching directions quickly will allow the team to get to the corner/area of map that the other team is headed Towards (as a result of the pushing/retreating line of movement. If the two teams have been traveling in a circular motion around the map (spawn points have been moving predictably) then it is easy to predict where the other team will head. So stop pushing, change direction and get to that area first. It requires paying attention to UAV and seeing what areas of the map have no players. Get to those open spaces to set up ambushes or flank the other team.
  7. Open console by typing ` type: /record playername type: /stoprecord You can only use /record playername once per player. If you use /record playername again, and it's the same player, then it will overwrite your previous recording. So either Don't use /record player name again for that player, Or, move the first demo out of its folder so it doesn't get overwritten.
  8. It should be sent out as an email to ppl's inboxes (not everybody checks every new post) and should be scheduled two weeks in advance to give ppl a chance to get the notice and arrange their schedules.
  9. I haven't read a day suggested yet. How about Sunday May 12. Why don't we start official FA games every 4 hours starting at 9AM? If you miss one, wait fours hours and another will start. Of course, FAs will be filtering in and out throughout the day. But at least we designate times so people can plan. Oops. i guess i missed it.
  10. Geezus. Ol' Smoke doesn't mess around. He's like Quint in Jaws who scratches his nails down the chalkboard to get everyone's attention and then tells em what they need to do to kill the shark. No BS. Gonna have to make some player awards that show up on the winnerz profiles here. perhaps a banner for their posts. How about we have Ol' Smokes idea for the true competition/tourney, but we still have F|A only casual play dayz and nightz.
  11. Agreed. The main problem that teams would have to solve, and its not necessarily a big problem... is coming up with common names for areas on the map. Are there gifs or jpegs of the map layouts available? then we could overlay graphics or numbers/letters to designate areas of the map. After all, if i am going to call out enemy locations to my team on TS, we need to know how to identify the areas of the map. Not having a compass the whole time is a drag. Even without having UAV up, soldiers will still carry a compass/direction finder. And it also helps to be able to see where your teammates are whether you have UAV up or not. Then you could warn specific teammates that he/she has enemies nearby. And speaking of she... now that the US has allowed women into combat roles, for better or worse, it would seem appropriate that toons on combat games would have to have female bodies and voices. I want to hear "Friendly airstrike on the way" from a sexy Puerto Rican muchacha from Brooklyn. ahem. i digress. Here's what I'm talking about. My team will have this memorized by 0600. 0615 is Go time!
  12. Done repeatedly, this should have the effect of strengthening the weaker players through highly competitive play.
  13. HA! You def gotta get me outta there. I couldn't even kill the heli. To save you some work, allow us to submit our own demos, then you can montage them.
