Running it myself at the moment, letting it run to get the requested number of sent packets.

But, I can tell you already, most of the loss that I'm seeing is happening at the second to last hop at comcast02.chi.fdcservers.net. Here in a minute I'll have the results for 200 packets, then after a bit I'll have the 500 result.

I originally thought that it might be a PB update that I was missing, but I haven't checked for that yet, though I think I updated PB just last month. Perhaps a version mismatch warning on the servers? If it's possible. Not saying kick people or anything, just a once a map notice saying, "Hey, we're looking for PB client version x.x.x.4 and you've got x.x.x.2, just letting you know" sort of thing. Granted, that in itself might cause more problem than it's worth.

Sorry that the first set is a bit more than 200 packets.

And oh how it is suddenly interesting after 200 packets.

Nota can you run this and post the result for 200 packets and then 500 packets .

http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/

Sent the results by pm.

It looked very messy when I pasted it into the reply box.

I know you like things neat :P

I still find it extremely interesting that most/all maps start without any lag, and then it's like something happens during a match that causes it to suddenly start lagging until the end of the match. Perhaps there is a script running that has a bad loop in it?

Can you attach your results in html format? Save results in html and zip it and upload it.

I think it's cos of mod we added and server might be lagging?

If there is no network issues then I will remove anti rush and all and then we can see if there are lags or not.

At least from the results I saw, the first time I did 500 packets did it seem like something was fishy with 200+ lost packets after it hit around 250 packets sent, but then the second time I did 200/500 packets, everything seemed fine. Just a few packets lost on the second to last hop both sets of tests, but nothing to cause/warrant constant/excessive lag.

For example, around 8:00pm to 8:30pm on Jay2 today I was playing a map I suddenly don't remember the name of. Marakeck or whatever. I started out with Lagometer on a nice green 30 up until Allies blew the door and started making their way to the objective. Close to the end of the map, my lagometer was showing a red 9 or lower most of the time, yet I only had a ping of around 158 (unusual as I usually have around 70 or less). I need to remember to take a demo, but there were lots of low blue spikes and several yellow spikes on the top section which I assume is server overhead.

I'll agree that it might be the anti-rush, but it doesn't seem to lag the other server that it's on, but I also don't play on that one very often. I'm wondering if it's possible that someone has found another exploit of some kind, or if it's because of certain player behavior, like throwing knives at ceilings, using unpatched versions of the game to deploy several landmines or satchels at once, or something else. I do want to say that when I requested shoutcasting, that the lag didn't seem to creep up quite as fast, or at all for a few maps. But then again, maybe it was because those maps weren't in the DB for antirush (like Oil Kombant, I think was one.)

Edit: Attached results, just one set.

I think that lag is because of 15% packet loss which happens at server host network side. i.e FDC/Comcast issue.

I average about 90 on there and I was getting around a 250 with nothing else running but ET. I'll take some screenshot's and maybe a demo.

Was also kicked by PB for losing key packet's and have been watching others being kicked for that as well.

Demo and thats how all the players are.
