What computer do you have?

Hi,

I need some advices and informations.

I am planning on buying a computer. Mine is old. It is 10 years old and when I bought it it was used in a library.

So I am planning to build a computer for 350€

ET is the only online game I play. I also play with Zsnes emulator.

My FPS barely reach 100.

It's ram has a poor frequency. It's PCI express seems broken and I can't use the cheap graphic card I got on the Net.

So I want to buy a computer with 4 giga of DDR4(2600hz).

But I don't know:
- wich motherboard to chose.
- which processor(i3, i5, or amd ryzen?)

And what computer do you use by the way ?

If you're going to build, you don't have to go all out like I did, but the things you listed are outdated already. 4Gb is nothing anymore. Why get i3 or i5 when i7 is the most current?

Ok in that case i think for 350 euro you can bye an Intel i5 7600 (200 Euro's) , premium 8 Gb DDR4 memory (90 Euro's) and a nice case.

I think that you should go for the Intel i5 and not the Amd Ryzen because more core's (amd's) doesn't necessarily mean more speed.

processor + memory + case

Then im pretty sure your motherboard is outdated as well as i dont think it supports DDR4. so there's another 60-70 bucks thrown into getting that.

And you're right.

So I will have to buy another motherboard.
And get some ddr3 or ddr4 with a frequency of 2400mghz

Imo with these demands and that budget, it's gonna be hard to work it out, why not just save a bit more and buy it later when u can spend for some quality components instead of buying semi decent stuffs now and making a new upgrade in couple of years again. If i learned one thing was, never rush upgrading pc without a proper budget or u will just end up already with outdated hardware and be soon unhappy with it. I would actually recommend u to buy at least 16GB of RAM, as everything is just more demandable nowadays. Make a research over Tomshardware, great site where they publish every new release from every PC component and u can even ask for advice there if u are on a budget as well as what your needs are.

Make topic here if u want and tell them your budget and your needs, otherwise just use google to get up to date with what components are worth buying if u re on budget.

I got this laptop from MSI with a Black Friday Deal for about $550

Intel Core i5 7300HQ @ 2.50 Ghz

Micro-Star MS 16J9

8 gigabyte of DDR4 RAM

GeForce 1050 GTX      -

I would have preferred to have built my own PC but I needed something more mobile for work and travel. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. The only intensive things I regularly use my laptop for are Wolfenstein and FL Studio but I have also been able to play with very high settings on Skyrim, Fallout:NV, and Civ 5.

If MSI comes back with another great Black Friday deal, it might be worth checking out.
