When playing with ETLegacy 2.75 on a server with a mod,

Game says: Recording demo, But it doesn't...

Demos save when Hosting Game.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I can always use ET2.60b If I must.

I think they're saving in your documents folder. ETLegacy moved configs, etkey, maps, etc. there so it's easier to reinstall without losing that data.

That is a very interesting feature.  :)

I wonder how that would affect people who feel that they have to reinstall ET to fix a problem.

How would the "FA-pk3 cleaner" work in this case?  Perhaps etLegacy uses 'system redirects' (whatever...symbolic-something...that Windows calls it).  Perhaps Buckwild could test this by putting some "fake PK3s" into his ET-folder / document-folder.

Yes, C:\Documents and Settings\Buckwild\My Documents\ETLegacy\jaymod

is folder where nothing was created when I started recording.

I noticed that etmain folder there had no Profiles folder so I copied one there.

Demos save now!

I can't mark more than one post as the "Best Answer"  :(

Buckwild's reply had little bit more detail....ah, I know how to handle this.  :D

It worked!

Btw, ETLegacy has in-built pk3 cleaner:

• clean - recursively removes files matching a given pattern from homepath

◦ force argument will delete even configuration and executable files but it still respects patterns in com_cleanwhitelist

◦ pretend argument will not delete any files and just show what would be deleted
