Off topic but to get some investment back I'd look into installing NiceHash and let your PC mine when you are AFK. Here's what the estimated earnings look like for each card.

Ohh nice, I never saw that before. You are the man!

My list is looking great now, thanks to you and the others. Now I just need to find a monitor. I should have my money tomorrow, which means time to start looking for deals and shopping

That ram you listed is actually DDR3 if you look at the selected version.

A deal will pop up sometime soon for better ram for around that same price.

As Dare said, I'd go this route for a Windows 10 Pro key - $10:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/WINDOWS-10-PRO-32-64-BIT-PRODUCT-KEY-FULL-DOWNLOAD-LINK-fast-delivery/192428482138?epid=2225413876&hash=item2ccda19e5a:g:VRcAAOSwVLRaWC1W

Worst case you are out $10 and then you can buy a retail key. I did this with my build. This seller has sold hundreds so it should be good to go.

I might have linked the wrong part, but thinking about it, I'm pretty used to Corsair RAM being really top notch and go back to using it again for this build. I'm t hinking I might go 1000W for the power suppply. I'm gonna stuff this with as many fans as I can and upgrade to SLI later this year so that might be a better option

Nice! If you have a very small mousepad like I do, I suggest getting around to eventually buying an extended one. that is something I need to do here pretty soon.

I love my QcK Heavy. My first one lasted 6-7 years then finally the fabric started separating after  so I bought another. If you want a cloth pad with a little bit of give this one is perfect. The normal Qck+ (About the same size as the heavy) is really thin and I would not recommend it. The edges will start to roll up on you. To clean the heavy, use some Dawn soap and a sponge. Then put it in the oven at its lowest setting to dry for 5-10 minutes to speed up the drying process.

Patience, you can still build the rig and even install everything using the integrated graphics. You will be the first to know if I see a 1070 ti or 1080.

I can get a 1080 right now, but I just do not want to spend $900. That would go too far over budget

i don't think you need a 1080 or even a 1070 but if you must get it ram can come later and in 2 or 3 years move it up to the 1080
