I wondered why Chrome flagged "amongst" as a misspelling, I consulted my good buddy Google. "... in US English, amongst is now seen as old-fashioned, and even ‘pretentious’. [blog.oxforddictionaries] The funny thing about the USA opinions is that "among" is older than "amongst".. I had always thought the opposite! I guess that I was trying to be "la-di-da" (which I always thought was spelled "la-de-da"). I also learned that you can't "cheat" on the FA-Emoticon limit per post by using an image-link to the actual FA-smiley-image. Wow, I just learned three new things in trying to reply on one topic!
