i think redbaird isnt fomilliar with  this kind of great music and festivals :P

 

I think that the Beatles started the "misspelling craze" amongst bands.  : D

 


 

:offtopic  We don't have an emoticon for "we learn something new everyday".  

 

I wondered why Chrome flagged "amongst" as a misspelling, I consulted my good buddy Google.

 

"... in US English, amongst is now seen as old-fashioned, and even ‘pretentious’. If you are a US English speaker, therefore, and you don’t want to come across to your audience as out of date or, heaven forbid, linguistically la-di-da, then it’s advisable to opt for among.

British English speakers will find that amongst generally raises few such objections. Just a word of warning though: if writing for business or publication, ..."  [blog.oxforddictionaries]

 

The funny thing about the USA opinions is that "among" is older than "amongst".. :)  I had always thought the opposite! :o  I guess that I was trying to be "la-di-da" (which I always thought was spelled "la-de-da").

I also learned that you can't "cheat" on the FA-Emoticon limit per post by using an image-link to the actual FA-smiley-image.  4a25d1fda82ab5d7c8452b8bb1dabed9.jpg

Wow, I just learned three new things in trying to reply on one topic!  No wonder I don't get my FA-Work done.
