Battlefield 1 - still worth?

Howdy.

Some months ago I've bought a new, great PC. My buddy gave me his Origin account for some time, so I was able to test on BF 1 and Titanfall 2 how really strong is my computer. That was awhile ago, and today I'm wondering about buying this game with all DLC's. I like WW I theme (more than typical WW II tbh, but new CoD zombies are great) but I don't know if there's sense to start playing it today? Maybe someone here can help me with decision? If not Battlefield, I was also thinking about Day of Infamy or dlc for Warhammer Total War (lol).

Thanks for any answer.

Hello!

It really depends on what you like, and your expectations from a game performance wise. I personally have never played Battlefield 1, but I love playing Battlefield 4 on PS4 and am about to get it on my new PC. It is never too late to start playing a game, I see Privates every day because I kill them all! I would definitely recommend Battlefield if you are into those types of games.

On the other hand, we do have DOI (Day of Infamy) servers in which I am not entirely sure how many people play on our servers there. I just recently bought the game, and it looks beautiful at high to mid settings. It is very fun to play if you have nothing better to do!

Hopefully that helped.

Battlefield one is a great game to me and I believe I got my moneys worth out of it. If your looking for something cheaper though I'd go with DOI. You will get your money out of that game and then some.

-We do have a very active and solid community that's growing in DOI btw, if that helps.

Right, thanks for answers. After all I have bought DoI, maybe someday I'll buy BF1 as well, but not now.

Now I only need to train and stop dying, lol.

I have BF1, I had some guys to play with, but then they disappeared. Then I solo'd for awhile and got bored.

Don't take anything away from the game, its awesome in my eyes.

Decided to try the game as I got it free on my yearly EA access. It took me a while to familiarize with the big maps and near real life combat system- 1 hit kills often compared to ET-s bullet sponges running around. Also for a team to win every class MUST be represented, medics are really important as healers, opposed to ET rambo-medics again;)

It´s really awesome to storm wide fields with the whole team, feels so grandiose.

Had some problems to run the game as it started to crash in every 15 min, fixed it by lowering my CPU OC- maybe my system is getting old and gets tired. Also I noticed it stresses the CPU a lot, most of the time my old good I5 IB runs on 100%. But nothing suprising here as I knew massive Multiplayer games do stress CPU a lot. Also lowered the game graphics settings, maybe it helped with the crashes also, took a hit to my pride to dial down to medium-high;)

Wanted to ask what those medic, assault etc class promotions give. It describes quite well in ET with every promotion given- medic have more health packs, FO more ammo, can arty quicker etc. But didn´t find any descriptions for BF1 classes.

I´m playing under the name in BF1 as is the name under I´ve played  in ET HC lately.

Ability to buy different weapons. Some weapons require lvl 3 in medic, other weapons need assignments
