I think it includes some features that have been long removed as well such as Global Warming, the UN, and also a nuclear winter effect (if you don't clean up the contamination in x amount of turns, the tiles turn to desert... roman legions for the win? ) Annnd... it looks like Multiplayer is back up and running thanks to Steam.
