DOI-Suggestion Day Of Infamy Suggestion

Recommended Posts

We cant please everyone in here, we  try to make our servers best in the ET, COD, INS and DOI and all to other games what we have in here. In ET we had DD and other owners who made servers, they did listen opinions as we listen now too, but we cant please everyone, not then and not now. First we started with one server in ET, we made it popular and made second, third and fourth etc.. all the servers was different so all can play they favorite style of game. Just like in DOI now, we have only one server, we try to make it good as possible but we cant please everyone. Once we make this server ready and popular we publish new one, what will be different than this current one and we try to listen those who wishes we could not fill last time. Its key to listen all the opinions, but all cant be pleased. Its not solve anything if you run away when you opinion is not granded. I dont mean anyone doing it atm. Feedback is always welcome and we recruiters+ should also understand critical feedback and not take it too much in our hearts or let it affect our feelings or mood. We all do mistakes, from trial lvl to leader/owner lvl, and when someone make mistake its better to support him than kicking head, this how our clan work in here. Anyway in next server we can make bots harder, because many wish so, but now in current server we probably keep it as it is. We didnt change it, we thought we did, but covered out that it did actually didnt change. Nextime we do listen your opinions more, but be know that sometimes we also have to make calls by ourself but we always do it for best for clan.

Why can't we just keep the AI difficulty vote option, whoever wants hard gets hard whoever wants ez gets ez .

yes we have considered this option. We are working on stuff. Thx for suggestion.

Since we have DOI now... and this is only a question... for our other games/servers we have awards for KDR/ nade kills and things like that. Is there a possibility of something like that for DOI later on? Personally its neither here nor there for me, but I know there are those that game in the hopes of bettering themselves and others. could put good competition on such a difficult game. Just a thought. also i do understand it takes legwork to actually design that stuff. I'm just brainstorming. i'm gonna be checking out custom maps for the next short bit tonight. if i find anything will post link here

Thats is indeed a great idea. yeah i thought about this, but first we need to make the server set and increase popularity and then soon we can add them.

@all plz suggest some good names if u guys have for awards and for what awards we want.

Awards are a good idea. I would leave it to you guys who actually play the game to make suggestions. How I imagine it, we will have a number of awards similar to INS (5 or 6). Killer of the Month is a given.

Maybe a specific recruiter award.

With specific game-achievement awards I'm not really sure, as the game already has them implemented at the end of a map: post-1542-0-83278500-1509008678_thumb.jpg

So feel free to post suggestions here. If you can maybe even include an icon you think fits the award. I'm looking forward to seeing your ideas.

we can have most accurate named as 'meistens richtig' (german most accurate) which will put up a good competition with also making players good at aiming if they do care

I understand DOI has an end of mission award thing, i was thinking maybe something like we vote for each other type deal for Player of the month and some other titles. Like best Assault class player could be voted for and the award could be "storm the gates" with an icon of a kicked in door or something lol and someone who gets mowed down by MG fire all the time when advancing could get an award called "Always Forward" or maybe "No turning back" with an icon of a flag bearer running to battle... just some ideas. rather than make it just KDR or something like that, we can make it more community driven so as to drive home the teamwork ideal. Like voting your favorite officer for Leader of the Month with some sort of award called "Battle Ready" and a warfare device pin as the icon... :) we can throw in the other stuff like KDR and most Accurate but i think the voting for your favorite support/flame thrower could be fun too :)

we could have a kamikaze style reward for something involving bayonets. Silent assassin for melee kills. Atlas award for holding the world/game together

i think for a difficulty setting, it would be nice to offer a higher clock rate on one server to speed up the action, but still offer diff settings as that can be a whole 'nother can of worms

Here are the things I think might be good. We can implement these with config changes fairly easily.

  1. Increase supply to 20 points.
  2. Set it to Commonwealth vs Wehrmacht only.
  3. Increase bot difficulty to 2.
  4. Increase bot suppressing fire.
  5. Double the amount of bots.
  6. Increase round timers to double current value.
  7. Double time needed to capture points

Could you elaborate on points 1,2 and 6?

@Raziel i think for 1: its so we dont have to go with just a shovel and our main gun at times, 2 for some variety/maybe because the commonwealth weapons are more liked on broadscale?, and well 6, i guess ties into the overall higher difficulty he's goin for, and the added time to actually capture something. Taking away the run and gun feel for quick rounds and making it more of a battle so to speak.

1. Increasing the supply point to 20 might be too much, as recently we haad 20 supply points on INS and people asked us to reduce them. As you progress u do get points , which is fair.

2. wont that make our server custom?

3. Agree on rest .

if not twenty maybe somewhere like 12-14ish?, and the commonwealth vs wermacht isnt considered custom, as the base game has all 3 factions playable, it would just be an alternate version of a vanilla server. the main thing that would make it considered even remotely custom is the adjusted times/difficulty/equip points. :)
