I just reinstalled my ET and it seems something's wrong with download the files from the server. Probably on my end but dunno what it is.

As the title says, my ET closes and I get re-directed towards F|A website.

Hey ap0x, Welcome to F|A Forums!

 

- Make a Wolf:ET shortcut on your desktop if you don't have one already.

- Right click on it and select properties

- Go to the compatibility tab

- Check mark the box for " Run this program as administrator"

- Select Ok

 

Try running the game now, if you did it right you should get a permission dialog asking if you want to run this program, choose yes.

Sounds like some crazy cfg or something... Have you checked your folders? It may help to download a standard cfg (we have some in the downloads section) and delete the others from your etmain folder.

It may also help to run pk3 cleaner: https://fearless-assassins.com/files/file/374-enemy-territory-auto-pk3-cleaner/

 

In any case I've never heard of something like this.

In any case I've never heard of something like this.

I just downloaded butchji's cfg and executed "butchji1" which contains all general settings from A to Z. Must be something in there that has changed something important related to downloading stuff. Don't know what tho, cl_allowdownload and cl_wwwDownload is set to "1" so it's weird.

 

Edit: I tried that pk3 cleaner and it didn't work on Windows 10, atleast, for me.
