I will pick up decent ram at half the price on an Ebuyer daily deal or similar when I can.. For now I've just gone for the cheapest 2x4gb I could get Do you see any conflicts / issues with my selection? Even though I have nothing but trouble with AMD, I did look into Ryzen and to get the same user tested benchmarks on AMD parts I would actually end up paying more for AMD in this case. Never going to happen. GTX970 (used 4month's old, warranty 2years) 180e hd:samsung 850 evo M.2 250Gb 110e Power was 600w (was same price and good manu as 450w) case and power cost was high due my need for quiet system and water cooling for CPU. runs Win 7 64bit its 1150 socket (bit old) but my point was most bang on buck and compatibility. I actually priced up about 5 options and thus one future proofs me a little so I decided I'd rather go for Max budget with longevity in mind than go lower than budget.. You will gain 69% (3GB) or 84% (6GB) more graphic power (link) Memory: I agree with you. Memory is a bit overrated because it is so fast, even the cheaper rams. Usually the socket of the CPU dictates what main board you can use. Then the main board dictates what memory takt you can buy. SSD: I dont see it in your config. One of the most important performance parts. Even the cheapest SSD is hundreds of times faster than a regular HDD I usually recommend the samsung evo series. I wonder if there is any hidden benefit to choosing the 7500 over the 6600? I didn't really want to buy an outdated processor but that makes the 7500 seem pointless? Or perhaps there is more going on for the 7500 that benchmarks don't show. I will have to learn what the 7xxx has over the 6xxx I cannot afford SSD or the GPU though sadly! Edit: might stick to the 7500, the 6600 is way more expensive than $5 extra in the UK.. America is so lucky with tech prices! But part of me would rather have the latest anyway! Edit2 - 450 PSU should be plenty TBH. I was surprised about the lower takt of the 7500. How much more is the 7600 in the UK? So 1000 dollars = 1000 pounds unfortunately. Realistically prices fluctuate here for certain models again for no reason at all.. But eventually it seems to work out the same as USD without exchange rate I think I have probably got the best I am going to get for my budget! But I just double checked my PSU and your right there's a few things I forgot and my draw will be around 420W so I will go for a higher PSU - thanks for pointing it out!!
