Hard to imagine that GOOD effects in the amount they'd need would still be that prohibitively expensive for a TV show. I think* that was the main setback at the time. Trailers look good on this one, and its hard to imagine this franchise getting effed-up now that's it's in the hands of people who respect who their main audience is..
