What to see in Japan?

Hello!

Hope everyone is doing well. Maybe a few of you still remember me! ;)

Anyways... Going to Japan in about 2 months and I am looking for ideas/recommendations on what cities to see, must see places within the cities, and general experiences I should attempt to do on my visit.

I'll be in Japan from mid-late march so I will try to see some of the cherry blossoms if they have bloomed (*crosses fingers*). I'll only be there a week and be staying a little outside Tokyo.

Also, if you have any tips to make my travels easier those are also appreciated.

Thanks for the recommendations!

The time I spent in Japan was about 2 yrs worth of info. I think the best time was on Mt.Fuji looking over the Island. Tokyo is actually a big place, its basically 5 cities wrapped into one. There is allot of history there too to see.

Nippon Budokan is a good start, you will get lost in the indoor and outdoor activities..Seen Deep Purple, Rainbow, AC-DC and few more bands there.

Take the subway everywhere, people are very friendly, enjoy your time there.

I just booked my trip to Japan the other day, but I've never been before and I'm not going until June. Here's some general links I found useful during my research. What to do there really just depends on what you're interested in and how long you're going for.

Off the top of your head do you think there is anything that would require reservations I should go ahead and book? I just decided to go  on the trip about a week or 2 ago so I haven't done much research or planning yet lol.

Differently get your Mt. Fuji stick but they just had major snow storm there in the Tokyo so be careful.

You'll have bragging rights. lol

From what I was reading I saw climbing Mt Fuji is closed off until July, but I definitely plan on seeing it from one of the cities around! I wish I would have the opportunity to climb it though the pictures look amazing!

Id'love to go there.

Lot of friends been there and told me its a great country with lot of "respect"

i suggest you to try (for fun ofc) geisha/maid cafes ! :P

haha the video of the maid cafe was pretty funny!

try to spent 1 night in a capsule hotel.

Hmm that would be a really cool experience. thanks!
