I looked around and read some stuff but is there one out there that won't cause problems with my other programs, and tries to keep track of everything I do?

Google Chrome will track the shit out of what you do. That's just typical google.

Never tried Waterfox so couldn't tell you.

Firefox is proactive in informing their users of how they can protect themselves, and the dangers of using the internet, and also the threats that face our freedom to anonymity while surfing the web, all while remaining a non profit company.

It's got a simple, easy UI, and they got tons of stuff for security junkies like yourself. Would highly recommend.
