May I suggest that the version on the server now Adlernest get's replaced with Adlernest_Roof.

Lool not again... Every time allies was defending roof and not doing obj ...

Oasis_te would be easier to attack for allies (better tunnels for example). Now theres only arty spam at wall :P

Link to maps would be handy for me for evaluation. I am not sure why people don't follow the format for request - 

 

Remove: map A

Add: map B - Download link form our website. 

 

Will wait for map links. Schnee, you please do the honors.

I dont know if this is the right place but i want to say something.

 

Somebody posted the link with all the maps (http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverinfo&idx=759655&section=mappool&mpsortfield=time&mpsortdir=desc)

 

Now if you sort by average time it shows you something very interesting.

 

Subway being #1 with average time 31+ minutes,that means on avarage this map is on for 30 minutes.

 

For me personally i dont like maps longer than 15 minutes,20 minutes i guess is fine but anything more is utterly boring,and if a map goes for so long it means its heavily axis (defending) sided and its extremely hard to beat.

 

Now all those silly long maps belong in jaymod but okay i understand they keep getting voted,fine but you cant force a jaymod type of play on silents settings.

 

In every jaymod server ever in existence of more than a decade there wasnt ever an objective oriented gameplay,all maps go on till the end with less than 15% players trying for objective.

 

And thats fine but it belongs in jaymod,I and i believe many others choose silent mod because its supposedly objective oriented but when maps like these come the defending team has massive advantage.

 

subway,teuthonia,daybreak,oasis,temple,capuzzo,baterry,fueldump all give axis an advantage.

 

 

And funny thing is baserace is literally the only 50-50 map in the whole existence of the game,at least from the widely played maps.Now i understand its a very basic map and you cant make it 50-50 in a more complex map but the maps i listed all give a very noticeable advantage to the defending team.

 

 

I can assure you many of those maps get voted simply because of the ego of some players that they cant handle going negative in score and want to camp heavy weapon/artillery in axis in hopes of finally getting a positive score.

So are you saying that I should remove all maps which has avg play time of 20 min or more? I am kinda confused from your post.

I agree that some maps doesn't belong in silent mod. But you have stopwatch maps of some of the large/long timed maps that would be great for silent mod. 

 

And with fuel dump, I don't care. I love the map, think it's fun (always loved it, after 10 years). 

 

But I do agree, silent 1 need a big redo of maplist, and not just change out 3 maps with some other maps. I mean form a group of players who will sit down, find the maps players FROM silent likes, NOT jaymod, and redo the whole list. 

 

I have seen post of suggrstion about new maps, I saw someone tested the new maps that was suggested, I know everyone is busy and all that, but what happened to them? 

 

My suggestion, redo the whole list. Of course keep the popular maps, remove the long maps that belongs to jaymod, maybe keep a couple of the long just for some variation. But add some more short popular maps, competitive maps.

it would be cool to have some new maps i agree and maybe some really NEW we had never on server.

That's why i still proposing Stargate 1945 :D

 

And honestly .... Large number of large maps will bring bad results ... 2-3 large maps I can understand ... But no more ... The most popular are small / medium maps like Adlernest, Supply Depot or Special Delivery ...

Added Goldrush GALS, Oasis B3. Removed Subway from voting when less then

 

Daybreak, praetoria_m2, bergen, rommel, mlb_bergheim_09 is going off from the list on next server reboot. Will add new maps at that ime.
