Shoes?

tipsy

Recommended Posts

Just curious to know  from joggers/runners , what you prefer when it comes to running shoes, what you guys using currently and what you look for before buying running shoes.

I tried few nike shoes , tbh they are expensive and their upper material get torn too fast. I'm thinking to try new shoes from asics this time.

PS The current nike shoes , I had to get 5 stitches on them , stitches got over torn too lol  :c

I always go with neutral shoes, since does with support/stability always give me foot ache with prolonged use. I also avoid shoes with air soles since once you get them  popped by accident , they are useless. My priority is always comfort on the upper side on my feet, then how much grip does the sole gives when running and finally the weight of the shoe.

I am currently using these shoes:

They are ok on the grip side, but they are extremely comfortable.

btw, If you have a fitbit profile, add me up : https://www.fitbit.com/user/27LD38

My previous shoes. They where comfortable and they absorb impact really nice. Buy these if you tend to have runner's knee.

I am kinda jealous that your country sells puma faas, that model has the best grip, buy those if you commonly run uphill.

from soccer I have kinda learned: no shoe survives more than 1 season, that's the max I could keep one pair.

also, if you have the possibility to let some guy measure your feet with laser / 3d stuff, it will be SUCH a better feeling when you then compare it with the shoe-measures and find one that fits :) --> buy 20 pairs :D

It's really hard to give advice for this, imo. It's all very personal. If you really want good shoes for YOU, you should go to a running lab, but that's some expensive trip...

I really love mine, the asics gel lyte III; very light and you should be able to find them for a pretty price.

@acid Puma-faas , costing more than 7k way out of my current budget , almost double. I can look into Nike's dual fusion though. But as I mentioned in my first post, I tried Nike shoes couple of time and they ended up being torn from toe part (both pair) I will post pic soon. My toe makes hole in shoes :c   . So that's why I was seekinghelp and look into something else except nike which don't die fast.

I don't think there is any such lab here to measure feet. brb. gotta go fast.

Great advice, also, I have found that experienced sales people at a dedicated running store can diagnose  your step and recommend the right shoe for you.

just ordered a FitBit some days ago. Dont have it yet but will add you as friend.

I currently have my cell phone (Nexus 6) logging my steps and activity but it is very basic.

I ordered the FitBit charge HR (link) so i can monitor my heart rate better. It also helps to track activity during cardio training when you dont have your cell on you.

Thanks for the shoe tips. I'm currently running with Nike but they give me blisters. I saw these bad boys, i think i will check them out:
