FrostedFlake Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 I think at this point, the rest of the season is just there to get final adjustment on the game, and then in playoff it's not always about being good all around. It's about changing your game to get advantage over 1 team. I feel good for wild at the moment, Parise is great since he's back from injury and i really think some guys will step up their game as the playoffs arrives. At some point, Dumba is like Subban, great player but a bit shaky some times and they make errors they shoudn't at their skill level.Still both really great players for sure. Losing 3 in a row at this point is not that bad, when the playoffs arrives, we start again at 0 and 1 team to face at a time. von Rantala Posted April 7, 2016 Author Share Posted April 7, 2016 4 lose row and I was mad to see happy faces in lockerroom yes they celebrated they clinch to playoff, but if you are proud hockey team, u shouldn't cheer after lost game, disappointed that, and its worry mean that they have that kind style, and explain a lot why team go long losing streaks every year, they dont care how much they lose if they has just won six straight or clinch to playoffs, lets be honest Wild was lucky to go in playoffs, if Roy would played Picard instead of shaky Varlamov, Colorado would be probably in the playoffs, after seeing they attitude after lost make me super mad, and I never been so disappointed to my team or to Koivu, and first time I really thought that if Wild not go long in playoffs I will start follow different team in future, team which try win and is not happy or careless after lost games. Finnish coach Lauri Marjamäki has used two starting goalie in playoffs past years and won two finnish championship in row in style where he use hot goalie instead of "number one" that can work in NHL too. I think that if San Jose got Anaheim against them in first round they will win that serie, Anaheim is too much one line team, and look like both goalies Andersen and Gibson is injured (they pull out Gibson middle of game, so look like injury) Will do my playoff pool from my early season prediction and from my mid-season news. I did predict Calgary to conference finals so that i missed, but if i remember correctly Calgary is only team who will not make to playoffs from my early season prediction and mid-season news from west, dont remember at all what i predict from east have to check those. I feel nervous, and happy and sad sametime when regular season is ending already, this season has gone faster than any season before this, i has again badled against major depression and watching hockey has give me a lot strenghts, so i am sad that regular season is over already, but sametime i wish and wait long playoff run, i wish that this season can be season when we win Cup and season what will be my favorite season, now my favorite season has been 2009-2010 when Niittymäki was starter in Tampa Bay and played his best season in NHL. Yeah Dallas offence is maybe best of NHL, but they defence group and goalies are only avarage, lets be honest Nieme and Lehtonen is a lot better than they stats show, and thats a lot because team dont defence so much, Flyears was last team who got to finals with "poor" defence and goalie game, and ofc all can be possible, but i think Wild will win serie and not only because i am Wild fan. Wild have great defence group, one of best in NHL and they have gamestyle what suit very well against Dallas. Dallas did win our regular season serie, but we did lead 3 of those games what we lost and two was lost in overtime where we did suck whole season, luckly in Playoff we dont need to see 3vs3 hockey. Yeah that season 2009-2010 was great, i did watch all Flyers playoff games in that year. It was first year without Niittymäki for flyers and only thing what annoyed me was that all Flyers goalies played awfull season in that year and if Niittymäki would have got new contract in there he would have win Cup for team for sure, Chicago goalie game was not great either in that serie. I think it was Kane who made that overtime winning goal, i still remember how it strike me, Timonen was in the ice and i was so hoping that he finally get his Cup and shot was taken front of him and puck made way to goal. Luckly Timonen got new chance to win Cup It was hard night (yes i did watch game live) i was so sad for Timonen, after that lost he was played in teams who had lost all finals games in several different level. Wild mate, i watched Calgary games this year, so now its your turn to pay favor back I think Calgary need goalie and couple veteran, i think they should keep Rämö, he did play well in there, but defence was just poor, they need more veterans forwards who are ready to come and defence too. von Rantala Posted April 10, 2016 Author Share Posted April 10, 2016 In this last Wild regular season i was cheering Bäckström (CGY), daam it made me so happy to see him playing great game, he was like old Bäckström when he was Vezina finalst and winner of Jennings trophy. Thanks Bäckström for great memories, i still keep hopes a live and wish that i can see him playing in NHL in next season too, you cant imagine better back up goalie for your team than what Nikke is, lockerroom harderst worker and was probably most respected player in Wild lockerroom last couple season, he was dealing major injuries, and third goalie role, well, like adult and was always cheering his teammates and always smiling. Made me emotional when i watched his maybe last interview in NHL https://twitter.com/NHLFlames/status/719013732957814784 So Wild will see Dallas in first round and we go against them with 5 game losing streak where our play has suck and badly, our powerplay has been without goals last 5 game and pk% has been 55%, but i still believe that we can win Dallas in first round, i think it will take us 5 to 7 games to do it. In this season when Wild needed wins most they has taken those, so let see, if we win Dallas Torch probably will continue as our coach, but if not, then we probably looking new one, let see if Julien from Boston come free, i think they should not fire him, he is maybe third best coach in NHL, after Quenneville and Babcock. Arizona should keep they coach too, but i think CGY, EDM, CLB, MTL, OTT, WPG, and VAN should take new coach. Let see, i think EDM keep they current one, and CGY too, because Hartley just won Adams trophy in last year. CLB probably keep they coach too, but MTL, OTT and WPG probably will change coach. With a win Anaheim will get past LA and Islanders can get past the Rangers.
