I would strongly suggest to use gallery for signatures: http://fearless-assassins.com/gallery/category/3-graphics-art-signature/ Then simply copy BBCode from it and post it on forums. The content can't fit in the header element so it simply uses the space available beneath. Shouldn't be a big deal fixing it.
