Hello there, is there anyone who could translate that for me? I've never learnt Spanish and I've seen it on the main chat in ET:

1. un fache/facha menos

2. es un piropo para ti

Probably just trash talk but it kept me wondering for sometime now, I tried to use google translate... I couldn't understand a single word :D

For number 1 "facha" refers to fascist party members during WWII dictatorships. Its used actually in modern times at forums or manifestations to make disrespectful remark to extremist right side political party members in Spain, not sure from South America. And "menos" is less, so maybe he was happy for that player leaving or whatever was happening on server.

Numer 2 its like "making a compliment for you".

Late to the topic, but, since I'm Argentinian (we speak spanish here), I can help.

Tarde al tópico, pero, dado que soy argentino (hablamos español acá), puedo ayudar.

I never heard 'fache', but I did heard 'facho' and 'facha'. As Hippo said, 'facho' refers to a fascist party masculine member (a man), or at least, aligned with a fascist party's ideology; and 'facha' refers to a fascist party feminine member (a woman), or at least, aligned with a fascist party's ideology. It's a negatively charged word. And nowadays (at least in my country), it's used to refer disrespectfully to any person that says something "right wingy".

Example:

A: I think it's ok that America protects its borders from illegal foreigners.
B: OMG! I can't stand this facho!

Ejemplo:

A: Creo que está bien que Estados Unidos proteja sus fronteras de extranjeros ilegales.

B: ¡Por Dios! ¡No soporto a este facho! (En Argentina diríamos, más bien, "¡No me banco a este facho!")

(In Argentina we would say, rather, "¡No me banco a este facho!")

PD: In spanish, almost all nouns and adjectives can be either masculine or femenine, and, either singular or plurar:

PD: En español, casi todos los sustantivos y adjetivos pueden ser o masculinos o femeninos, y, o singular o plural:

Singular masculine:

"perro", "árbol" , "techo" , "facho".

("dog", "tree", "roof", "facho").

Masculino singular:

"perro", "árbol" , "techo" , "facho".

A singular masculine noun would be preceded by the singular definite article "el":

                                                                                                                          ("the")

"el perro", "el árbol", "el techo", "el facho".

Un sustantivo masculino singular estaría precedido por el artículo definido "el":

"el perro", "el árbol", "el techo", "el facho".

Singular feminine:

"mente", "casa", "guitarra", "billetera"

("mind", "house", "guitar", "wallet")

Femenino singular:

"mente", "casa", "guitarra", "billetera"

A singular feminine noun would be preceded by the definite article "la":

                                                                                                           ("the")

"la mente", "la casa", " la guitarra", "la billetera"

Un sustantivo femenino singular estaría precedido por el artículo definido "la":

"la mente", "la casa", " la guitarra", "la billetera"

Plural masculine:

"perros", "árboles" , "techos" , "fachos".

("dogs", "trees", "roofs", "fachos").

Masculino plural:

"perros", "árboles" , "techos" , "fachos".

A plural masculine noun would be preceded by the definite article "los":

                                                                                                          ("the")

"los perros", "los árboles", "los techos", "los fachos".

Un sustantivo masculino singular estaría precedido por el artículo definido "los":

"los perros", "los árboles", "los techos", "los fachos".

Plural feminine:

"mentes", "casas", "guitarras", "billeteras"

("minds", "houses", "guitars", "wallets")

Femenino plural:

"mentes", "casas", "guitarras", "billeteras"

A plural feminine noun would be preceded by the definite article "las":

                                                                                                        ("the")

"las mentes", "las casas", " las guitarras", "las billeteras"

Un sustantivo femenino plural estaría precedido por el artículo definido "las":

"las mentes", "las casas", " las guitarras", "las billeteras"
