Lagging Issues on Hardcore and Silent1

Here is a few screen shots while on silent #1.  I was playing a couple maps with my ping around 36 to 55.  which is not great but i'm managing.  Then at 10:12pm eastern my ping spikes to about 130 and my lagometer has these red spikes.  Hopefully this will help to narrow down my cause.

 

Your ping to server is only client based in 90% cases. Check your router? No torrents.. Most of the routers gets slow if you are downloading too much using torrents even when torrent download is completed. 

 

Reboot the router and re try or use WRT open source firmwares. 

 

You have good enough PC to run with 250 FPS. Your issue with changing ping is either WIFI related or router related.

I will try rebooting the router, I do that once a day hoping to fix the problem.  I don't download torrents so I can eliminate that cause.  My computer isn't on wifi, it's hardwired to the router.  Wish I could figure out the cause of this, I have never had this much problems with connection to the servers.

I turned the threaded optimization off

 

I am looking in my config for the ram allocation correct?

 

com_zonemegs = 32

com_hunkmegs = 1024

com_soundmegs = 32

com_zonemegs 32

com_hunkmegs 320

com_soundmegs 128

 

Even if I set my "hunkmegs" on 512 in my cfg\as personal setting, these values are enough to play ET, to not say above the average values used\needed.

 

 

For the rest, I got lately an issue with my ping me too.. A chkdsk, clean and defrag my HDDs+uninstall\reinstall of my NIC driver solved my prob. Just in case we would have had a coincidence of probs.

Ok, I rebooted my router (don't know how to change the firmware), Ran a chkdsk and found no problems, I updated my NIC driver, defragged my HD.  None of this made a difference.  I did notice about 9pm eastern we were playing bremen on silent #1 and someone elses mentioned they were getting lag spikes, coincidentally my lag started at the same time.  By 9:30pm eastern my ping was spiked to 300 and I was getting connection interruptions on the server.

When you lag can you run winMTR once? For appx 100 packets? 

 

I believe at 9.30 today we had DDoS attack once. But it was short bust.

Lately when I play around 4 to 5pm I get consistent red bars on my meter. Next time it happens Ill run and MTR while I play
