GLW_StartOpenGL( ) - could not load OPENgl Subsystem

That one is also 733KB, like the sysWOW64 file.

I uploaded a copy of my windows\system32\opengl32.dll from my Windows 7 pro to SpeedyShare.

http://speedy.sh/n38jy/redBaird-SYS32-opengl32.dll

You can download this file and put it into your wolfenstein installation, in same folder as ET.exe.  Trim off the leading "redBaird-SYS32-", leaving only "opengl32.dll", and try running ET with that.

(It's a little safer to work on a copy of the downloaded file and delete the opengl32.dll if it does not work for you.  Leaving the original titled as "redBaird..." means that it's origin will not be lost nor will any software try to use it.)

Its strange,i put here the opengl from sys32 and its true, mine also have 0.99MB... :o

btw when i try to delete mine or copy yours dll file in my windows folder i dont have permission, take a look:

and look(this is mine opengl file)

edit: also i put it in et directory, nothing happend... :/

Ok, if you put it into your Program Files...\ET install directory, where Et.exe is and renamed it to "opengl32.dll" and ran ET "as admin" and nothing improved, then we can forget about the opengl32.dll "solution".   :)  Sunlight will be happy!

eh? :D I would be happier if you succeeded :P

for intel hd graphics you should check a file like ig(something).dll on system32 folder (something like ig4icd32.dll)

for intel hd2000 on a website with benchmarks it lists quake3 arena so it's compatible with opengl games it seems, for intel hd graphics it's not listed but maybe it is compatible...

other than trying different drivers or settings I don't know...

on ET itself there isn't much you can do if there is no hardware acceleration, even etlegacy would probably fail

I tried to download ig4icd32.dll and ig4icd64.dll ,

Replaced them with mine in sys32 and wow64 also,

I put them in et directory too, still nothing :<

you should have checked first if you have them already in your system32 folder. If you put a wrong dll that is not needed it won't be loaded. maybe that is not the correct dll name for your card.

but if you have the latest drivers you should have the last version of that file as well...

isn't there some kind of control panel for these drivers? maybe something you need to enable?

sry if it's a dumb question but I'm out of ideas

if it's able to run quake it should run et as well

I was thinking you would prefer that we quit messing with the opengl32.dll thing, and get back to serious trouble-shooting!   ;)  Yes, it is too bad...

Earlier in this thread, I posted a link to some Benchmarkers/testers of the B950 cpu and they said opengl runs ok on it.  I also read that it has to run ver. 3.1,  but you would think that that is included in any later release.

I'm just worrying about this change from card-Graphics to cpu-graphics and if some driver did not get removed or  enabled, or something.  I am totally ignorant of Sandy Bridge graphics system.

I will still be watching this thread with great interest!

Your notebook uses an integrated chipset and not a graphic card.. Lot of issues were reported everywhere on net with this chipset.. Plus your notebook is not for gaming but should be able to handle ET.

Anyway.. In right clicking on your desktop, access the panel Intel graphic and there in settings disable Vsync.

Drivers from constructor site: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

-write in the search bar by Product Model "Aspire 5750z" and then in the Operating System "Windows 7 64-bits". There you will find default drivers for your notebook.

Another site with a plenty of drivers for all the devices on your notebook included latest drivers for Intel Chipset and Intel Graphic: http://www.helpjet.net/files-Acer-Aspire-5750Z.html

side note: try to install your drivers with Device Manager, especially the chipset if you have planned to update it too. And always update the chipset first before the rest of the drivers.
