Lagging in F|A Silent & Hardcore

I really like to play there but most of the time it is really laggy, which doesnt make the fragging enjoyable.

Im having stable 125fps and 98-120ping, sometimes it looks like enemies/teammates are teleporting while they are moving. I do not get this prob in EU servers. Is it servers fault, can not handle high amount of players ? Or am I like the only one having this prob. Is there any rate/maxpackets settings which are better than other ones to use in silent or in hardcore.?

I use /rate 45000 and /cl_maxpackets 100 is the most stable.. But if you are on a really slow internet connection, try cl_maxpackets 60 or lower (30 minimum).

 

To diagnose further, run WinMTR on this host: hc.clan-fa.com for a few minutes and post the result here.  That will allow us to see where the problem is for you.

 

You can get WinMTR here:

1. 64bit version

2. 32bit version

 

EDIT: You could also run a separate WinMTR test on silent.clan-fa.com to provide better diagnostics if you are receiving lag on both.

Silent server looks okay but HC clearly has a small issue at ae1-50g.ar1.nyc3.us.nlayer.net - hopefully daredevil will be able to forward this onto the server host to have it resolved..

 

To guarantee he sees this, I would make a post with the HC WinMTR results in the ET Hardcore server section of the tracker.

it's not the server's fault... see how unsteady your ping is (stdev) since the beginning?

average 63, standard deviation 86!

 

the stddev I have to my internet provider is 0.0
