Your thoughs on suicde after being poisoned

I´d understand if the knife flew very short range and instakill or if anybody came against me with poison needle then I´d give them a credit. Now its someone camps behind corner, throws knife and runs away or starts shooting. For a newbie it would be valid tactics but to wait 5+ secs before some regular gets a kill, no thanks.

So I take out the nade and try to kamikaze the knifer also.

In the other hand I´ve always enjoyed some 1 to 1 needlefights as it takes some skill and effort to actually needle an enemy.

Also I find it ridiculous that a flying knife from other part of map kills you within seconds and 2 throwing knifes means instakill but 2 sniper shots from which 1 is HS gives players extra boost for instance on jumping.

i know its perhaps a little a**h****-ish to /kill or nade to death but i don't think it should be a punishable offense...i always try to shoot the person that poisoned me and kill them frequently!

I love making someone nade themselves. I will usually try to finish them off, but it is also a strategy to poison as many as possible in a run so that it ties up as many as possible so that they are busy trying to get saved/saving others and not firing at you or teammates.

Btw.... you can't do /kill while poisoned.

Now if they join spec to avoid the kill/death and rejoin...... that is not allowed and should be warned x3, kicked, banned as it goes. I've only had to do this once.

I do couple differents things if i have poisoned. First i try use adre if i can. Go and kill the knifer or run to ammo/medic place. Third is that i take grenade and run in the middle of enemies.

/kill gives that player the kill. I would try to survive! Find health box

on nq (1 at least) /kill is blocked when you are poisened and it takes a needle to heal, not just a pack

solution: nade

I think it is lame to self kill for any reason during a battle.  Getting poisoned is part of the game and part of real warfare.  It is no different (lamer) than expecting a kill from splash damage from a panzer.

The mechanic for this (once your poisoned) is to call out for a medic to give you a pack or find a med rack.  Other than that, just run around and try to kill what you can and then die...

It seems like a really petty thing to do IMO. Poison allows a chance for a novice player to make a kill against a 'rambo medic' or even the occasional seasoned veteran.  When a player suicides after being poisoned, especially a good player, it is like they are saying 'You aren't good enough to kill me'. When in fact the opposite was just proven true. There really is no such thing as a 'lucky' shot IMO. If a novice or any player hits you with a knife it is because they were trying to hit you, Even if they hide behind a corner, hit you in the back and then run away; If it works to make a kill, isn't it valid tactic?

Suicide is for the  prima donna.

Dont agree with you, speaking for myself if I find someone whos only running around with poison I do think that he isnt good enough to kill me, tho dont get me wrong, I aint that full of myself but if a novice doesnt feel like using a normal weapon against others he is not even trying to learn to become better so why would I care? It just never occurred to me to suicide. When I get poisoned my first thoughts are about the closest med pack or rack. Normally that means trying to kill the poisoner first, but as in the case of a wayward knife or a fly-by, the poisoner isn't always available. If I think I can find a med pack quickly enough, I try to do so. If I know I'm dead before I can reach help I go-for-broke. I'll run at the closest enemy I can find. I try to make a fast kill before I bite it. Most of the time, because I'm weakened, poisoned and only an average player, I'll be killed before the poison takes its full toll.  The poisoner, most times, loses their poison kill to their own or a teammate's primary weapon.

I was gob smacked when I realized people committed suicide to avoid poisoning, however that poison was delivered. I'd go as far as to say that, at first, my sense of fair play was a little offended. I've mostly shook that off though, and now if the situation comes up I just count it as kill and move on.

Also; in retrospect, I want to say that the "prima donna" sentiment above was meant in jest and suggested as only the mildest of jabs. It was not my intent to offend anyone who suicides to escape being poisoned.
