I like to help others, but also to be helped. My problem is related to my connection, which is very good, but I have the router in the apartment on the second floor, instead use the Notebook, in the second apartment on the first floor, the distance in wi-fi is about 20 meters , sometimes when you shoot, the drain too fast charger when they are fighting against each other, while the opponent still has to finish downloading the magazine, which is why I'm trying to solve the problem with the cl_packetdup command, the real problem it is that the shots do not enter the delll'avversario body, in face to face combat, with little distance, the opponent or remains unscathed, or left with 1 hp, and maybe his table was about 200 and I 50. The wi-fi is really bad to play online, I have a lot of experience, and I had so many different connections, but it is the first time that game with wi-fi connection, the ping is never stable, and sometimes the lagometer has triangles persistent yellow, and the green line occasionally pauses for a few millimeters, and it always happens when I press mouse1 to shoot the face-to-face, perhaps the opponent is not strong, and I die as a fool, sometimes comes the depression I hahaha

Make a separate topic if you need help, I worked with Wireless and mesh network for years. Unfortunately, I do not think the packetdup cvar is your friend here, in fact it may make your problem worse.

You would want to use WinMTR or Pingplotter to trace latency to your router. Of course, your wireless protocol (A/B/G/N/AC) plays a huge role in gaming ability.

You can also send me a PM, but if you make a new topic other people can help you. I don't always see the "whole picture", it is a fault of mine. :P

you should disable the checking for updates in all your programs.. And while gaming, turn off fully Ccleaner and these kind of progs running in background.. Set Windows Update on "manual".. Especially since you're connected through wireless connection.

edit: aside the presence of some obsolete or non-existing cvars in your config, no major error in your config. But I have also noticed no entry for this cvar: r_lastValidRenderer "". Which would have helped to determine if r_primitives is set properly.

r_primitives

This command I have always set to 0 with Ethernet cable and fast computer, but on your notebook and with wi-fi, I set to 2, because reading on a forum, said that improved lag and increases the fps in computers with slow performance,

and I must say, has changed its performance changes

That is not quite the reason... using /r_primitives 2 is changing how your video card talks to ET. This is good for most newer cards, because they changed the instructions.

Feel free to make a Private convo with Annibal and I to avoid sending emails to people whose topic is 4 years old. Thanks.

r_primitives is graphic card related.. not related to connection type. Check if you have an Nvidia or an AMD card.

Nvidia= r_primitives 0

AMD or even very old card= r_primitives 2

If your using a wireless router with long distance in between the pc and router , setting ET it to a proper rate time and time nudge will resolve this. Back when this game came out there was only a fraction of the speeds there is now. Can't give you a ideal rate time cause I don't know your normal isp up/down limits. I suggest you work up from /rate 5000 and up if you see yellow spikes heavy means your connection to slow speed it up till you see less there is little you can do with wifi with ET settings. That is base as well on the channel your on in your router and how many people are connecting to that channel as well. That would include the speed the channel the router is set to like for instance if your router is set to auto rate channels for best performance 1-11 is most common setting this to the highest channel will give you better reception but still if other are on it there's limited things here as well you can do. If your router has auto rate enabled for instance you can set your Network adapter or wireless adapter settings most common in the drivers settings of the pc in device manager. And open the wifi adapter and check the properties for Channel settings and if you have a setting in it to change to a different channel to access the router channel of your choice with out bundling up with others on this router you will have that choice there to have your own path to gateway just by changing the adapter channel. Faster rate times doesn't mean a better faster connection the best connection is the one your able to handle not the server side client side is more important. Default ET rate times for are 5000 to 15000 anything higher well is optic fiber or dsl settings.

Hope this is helps its incomplete but fastest way to explain it in simple terms may be missing parts but they a null when working with wifi. If you mess with timenudge I would suggest not to unless your ping is over 500 constantly.

I thank you for advice, in the router, there is the reduction of bandwidth wi-fi, I have caused the reduction, and I already have, changed the channel when I see that the problem is high, I checked with Acrylic wi-fi, the quality of the line and the wi-fi channels used near my house, I can use the 7, and 2 that does not use them no one, but the problem is that when I meet + serious gamers face to face according to their line I Laggo, but if shot from a distance they are accurate even with lag

I noticed that my router has a wi-fi transmission of 130 Mbps other lines near my house have 300 Mbps, 144 Mbps, 270 Mbps plus my signal strength is 2.4 ghz, and I noticed that there is also l5 ghz, do you think it would change anything if I had 5 GHz and 300 Mbps?

If your signal is below 80% or in most cases below halfway of the signal max strength move the laptop till you have a better signal. Or get a wifi extender. But I don't see any one using channel 10 or 11 on your image the lower the channel the lower the speed forgot to say this that reduces the ghz up/down

Packet loss to the server will cause this to happen or in most cases cause a no- "hit counter, not registered"

Traceroute the servers ip address from your computer in cmd prompt using

tracert ipaddress

If you see high numbers in between the first and last times there could be a issue with the path in which the isp is giving you bad bounces and dropping your inbound outbound packets. This information is in millionths of secs not that noticeable in most games but ET lives on it.

You can check your packet loss if your not sure how the other way but you would only be searching for information about how your isp is handling your connection if your not sure how to do it manually you can just check it directly using Internet Explorer with Java enabled on Windows 8 below or Microsoft Edge Windows 10+ with java on http://www.pingtest.net/ Google Chrome no longer supports NPAPI applications

Surely it is an ISP problem because the wi-fi signal is good, and making testing with tracert and ping when my ISP is working properly I have these results:

You shouldn't post some details like physical address, etc.. and\or to at least conceal them if needed for more safety.. Especially in a public topic. Such infos could be used to usurp your identity and could therefore with bad intentions cause you some troubles.

If your pinging the server and you see no timeout or high counts thats the one your looking for and if you test it with tracert in cmd every now and then and you see no high pings then it's something else. Im sorry not able to offer any more ideas but that would be all you would have to look out for is ping to server and your settings in general. If it doesnt show up with any signs of change can be possible the the router it self is getting problems over heating. Is it getting cooled properly like in a well vented spot or is the firmware on the router have updates. After that the rest is modem from ISP to the connection to it.
