Yama310 Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 Hi guys Well, since a month (more or less), I can't play ET because of very low FPS (15-20). It happen when I installed Windows 7. I use the last drivers for my graphic card and my ethernet card (include ton my motherboard) and I updated punkbuster. My ping is stable. ET.exe is running as an administrator. I tried to use compatibility mode (of Win 7) to lauch ET.exe. I defined XP SP3. I tried to use default cfg instead of my personal .cfg, but always the same problem. I even tried to play with a clean installation, without patch... always low FPS. I didn't use anti-virus nor firewall. I install Antivir few days ago. I really don't know how to fix that. Hey yama, i had the same problem with low FPS on windows 7 the solution to the problem was right clicking on both pnkbstrb.exe and pnkbstra.exe clicking on the compatability tab ..and checking "Run this program in compatability mode for Windows XP (service pack 3)" hit apply and close it. try that. if you dont know where your pnkbstrb and pnkbstra files are... just hit the start menu and search for each file there. let me know if that works for u , it worked for me. When I don't see players, I have a stable FPS to 76, but in fight, I only have 20-25.. :/ Maybe stupid question but I install BF2 and I have no trouble to play. Is that normal ? (I just install and play offline. I didn't modify options). Maybe it's not enough powerfull to play ET on Win7. my friend had problems too but only with old games. Lol half life 1 (ya number 1) runs at 15 fps. Half life 2 runs at 80 fps. What gives?
