You don't need a creditcard to use paypal though Well, except finding a member who can donate to you if you sent the money to him/her (like some people here have done) If using paypal, Yen shouldn't be a problem. Paypal converts the money for you (against a small fee) I know for sure dollar to yen works, so yen to dollar shouldn't be a problem .
