Antimony Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 Same thing happens with me, but very rarely. Once ET crashes there is no option left other than to press reset button. Make sure you have up to date drivers and you have no faulty hardware. Just check if you can run other games. Here is a way to prevent restarting your PC if ET crashes: If you have a Power button on your keyboard, just press it. You will either shut down your PC (default function) or it will display a menu asking what you want to do. If the menu is displayed, just start task manager and kill the ET process manually. Try lowering the /com_maxfps to 40 as I remember that helped me. @Dare I'm quite sure he uses 2.6b since he has big capitals in his binds which is not possible with 2.55, but lets wait his answer. If you have an ati card go to: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx to update the driver for ATI/AMD based cards or go to http://www.nvidia.com and go to the "download drivers" section for nvidia cards.
