Awaiting Connection/connect connect/no server list

Ok, so I decided to do a fresh factory install of my Win 7 HP editon on my laptop. I only installed Win updates and HP drivers updates and ET, no other software. I have allowed ET thru win firewall and tried it that way. and also disabled that and Win Defender too. I have also tried plugging directing into the source of the internet instead of going thru router, but I have also made my computer have static IP and port forward the 4 ports that ET uses to my PC IP. I do have to say that we get our Internet wirelessly, meaning there is antenna on our roof, cable comes down to a box in basement, then from that another cable goes to an adapter 'which has to be used' that adapter also requires AC power, can't get internet w/o that adapter, and then that is plugged into our router."

I am running 2.6b. When I load ET no servers show up and nor can i connect to any server, I normally play on 8.2.0.28 which i know is not your server, but still cannot connect to other ones. If I try to connect to a server I get Awaiting Connection.

I have emailed my ISP and he says it is prolly a setting in the router and he will need to call me. He thinks it has something to do with with or without a DMZ IP. But DMZ is bad. But I dont think its a router issue if I can't get it to work plugging directly into the source of the Internet and bypassing the router u know.

Any help as to what I can do?? I also run ET in Admin mode/XP 2 mode. I have played this game several times at my university and my old home "we moved at got new ISP" So that is why I think it may be an ISP problem.

Where was your download source of .6b?

Also, who is your ISP?

Also, can you connect to a server again and open console, does a bunch of red text appear?

i would like to add that I used the Ultimate Installer, but before that I did it the old way, install ET, then Patch, then 2.6b patch.. that didnt work so i did a factory re-install then did Ultimate INstaller, from http://etui.kashu.fr/ my ISP is n-connect.. "Monticello Networks"

orginally i tried the files from http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/files/files.shtml and http://www.splashdamage.com/content/wolfenstein-enemy-territory-barracks.

So I have tried 3 different sources now. I opened console did /connect 8.2.0.28:27960 and still get awwaiting connection.. opened console and it says PunkBuster Client: Connected to Server 8.2.0.28:27960... i get the same type of message when I try different servers from a list I found online. same with ur servers too.

Here are some pics of the setup if it helps get you a better understanding...

http://i53.tinypic.com/2yyzc77.jpg "as you can see there is the adapter and that red cable is feed to a box, that grey Cat cable goes to printer so that isnt an issue"

http://i56.tinypic.com/2hem1yc.jpg "cant see it that well but one says "To Computer" and the other says "To Radio""

http://i55.tinypic.com/vymrg9.jpg "that red cable from the adapter/router goes to this box, now I assume the little green cable is power, and the black i pressume goes to the antenna on thee roof.

I read this at another forum, you think this could help? Normally you get a loading screen where you see: awaiting challenge and after that the awaiting gamestate line, but sometimes you get this message for more than 10 minutes (awaiting gamestate xxx ; awaiting challenge xxx).

A solution that may fix the problem;

Go to the directory; C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc (depending on which drive you installed Windows) In the directory ‘etc’ you will find a file called; ‘hosts’. Open the file and choose wordpad or another text editor to open the file with. Now add a new line and type; 192.246.40.62 etguidauth.evenbalance.com Save the file after this.

Now go to the directory; C:/Program Files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/pb (depending on where you installed Enemy Territory) In that folder delete the file; ‘pbns.dat’, and run the program; ‘pbweb.exe’. Wait while PB updates itself (this may take a while) and you are done.

I have already ran pbsetup after i installed everything and it did update it. I looked in the pb folder and see no pbns.dat but a pbns_c.dat. and there is no pbweb.exe in that folder either, but i just read that pbweb is discontinued at now its pbsetup.

I ran the pbsvc.exe and get this

Try to run ET as admin and then for test purpose type below in console:

\connect jay1.clan-fa.com

If it doesn't work let us know and if it does, then it could be server issue which you are trying to connect.

You can open console using ~ key.

Looks like your firewall is blocking the connection?

Also, in this image it's say 1460 server not listed because of your browser settings?

http://i52.tinypic.com/m7vnsy.jpg

What are your browser options? let's say even though if you can't see servers, you should be able to connect using IP.

Make sure your browser setting is on internet and not lan.

windows firewall has been disabled from the getgo, and yes it is on Internet, that was the default option. and the other option is set to "all". My ISP emailed me saying I need to set a DMZ to a 10.32.#.# address, but my router can't do that. it wants a 192.168.1.# and the 192.168.1 is grayed out, can't be changed. I have a Netgear WNDR3300
